Job Description Director- HRBP This role will serve as Director , Human Resources Business Partner for our Commercial organization supporting the commercial affiliates of Middle East, Russia and Turkiye . This individual will act as a strategic partner for Senior business leaders/General Manager and will have a business-focused approach to help translate objectives to workforce strategies.

The incumbent will sit on both leadership teams and will also serve as a member of the Gilead Commercial HR team to drive and implement workforce strategies that enable business success, foster an inclusive and high-performing culture, and embody Gilead's core behaviours and leadership accountabilities This position will report to the Executive Director, Human Resources, for Gilead ICR GP Region Commercial and will be based in London, England.

The role will require occasional travel to various parts of the region

Key Responsibilities

  • Organizational Development & Change Leadership Lead organizational design and workforce planning initiatives that support business growth and transformation.
  • Champion thoughtful change management, ensuring alignment with Gilead's Enterprise mindset and commitment to Continuous Improvement.
  • Collaborate with Employee Relations to guide and advise in Works Council / Other local (regional / provincial) strategies and local reorganizations, demonstrating ownership and strategic foresight.
  • Strategic HR Partnership Act as a trusted advisor to senior leaders, integrating HR strategies into broader business objectives.
  • Promote unity and collaboration across cross-functional teams to optimize Gilead's operating model and resource alignment.
  • Provide insights and guidance on organizational effectiveness, talent development / deployment and organizational and team structures.
  • Talent Acquisition, Development & Retention Partner with Talent Acquisition, Total Rewards, and Global Mobility to attract and retain top talent.
  • Use data-driven insights to enhance performance, engagement, and employee experience.
  • Drive succession planning, capability building, and career development, reflecting Proactivity and Authenticity in talent stewardship.
  • Team Effectiveness & Ways of Working Facilitate team chartering and effectiveness sessions to build high-performing, purpose-driven teams.
  • Support feedback loops and role clarity initiatives to improve collaboration and accountability.
  • Model People Leader Accountabilities by coaching leaders to foster inclusive, empowered environments.
  • Inclusion, Diversity & Leadership Development Embed Inclusion & Diversity strategies into talent and leadership development programs.
  • Encourage utilization of enterprise resources to support career growth and leadership capability.
  • Promote authenticity and unity by cultivating a culture where diverse perspectives are valued and leveraged.
  • HR Program Delivery & Enablement Ensure seamless execution of enterprise HR programs across both affiliates.
  • Identify and implement HR solutions that support business goals and enhance employee experience.
  • Deliver impactful presentations and communications on HR topics, demonstrating Enterprise thinking and strategic influence.
  • Requirements: - Bachelor’s degree in human resources or other Business degree (master’s preferred) - Solid experience as a strategic HR business partner, ideally in life sciences, healthcare
  • biotech - Proven ability to solve complex challenges and influence senior leaders - Strong business acumen and ability to translate strategy into talent priorities - Demonstrated leadership in coaching, developing
  • retaining talent - Ability to exercise judgment and independently determine and take appropriate action - Excellent communication, conflict resolution
  • active listening skills - Deep understanding of employment law and Works Council / Union strategies - Preferred experience in evolved HR Operating Models working in collaboration with shared services, Centre’s of Excellence and other functional business partners - Role model of Gilead's Core Behaviours and People Leader Accountabilities We are pleased to share that Gilead’s Stockley Park and Holborn offices are planning to come together at a new London headquarters at 1 Triton Square, NW1, from approximately Q2 2027.
