Job Summary Position Overview As a Regulatory Coordinator , you support safe, compliant, and efficient development of oil and gas operations across the Permian asset. You manage regulatory planning, permitting, and/or compliance across the full well lifecycle, from initial permit through plugging and abandonment.
This role partners closely with Development, Land, Operations, Production, and Projects teams to keep activities moving forward while meeting federal, state, and company requirements. You help identify risks early, guide teams through changing regulations, and build practical solutions that support responsible operations.
You will develop deep expertise in regulatory requirements and biological resource considerations in the Permian Basin, positioning you as a trusted advisor to the asset. This role offers strong exposure to cross-functional teams and evolving regulations, providing a clear path to grow as a regulatory or environmental subject matter expert.
Your responsibilities may include: Resolve compliance issues by identifying root causes, recommending corrective actions, and partnering with teams to prevent recurrence Track, interpret, and communicate new and changing regulations; translate requirements into clear, actionable guidance for field and office teams Develop summaries of emerging rules and contribute to company responses, industry feedback, and internal compliance programs Coordinate with third-party vendors to deliver accurate and timely regulatory filings, ensuring data quality and completeness Support permitting activities, including application preparation, submission, and follow-up with regulatory agencies Provide regulatory guidance to Development, Land, Operations, Production, and Projects teams to keep drilling, completions, and production activities on schedule Represent the company in trade association meetings or working groups, stay informed on regulatory trends and advocate for practical solutions Success Profile To thrive in this role, you’ll demonstrate the following Leadership Competencies: Drives Performance: Delivers results through realistic planning to accomplish goals.

Qualifications Basic Requirements: Legally authorized to work in the United States 3 or more years' experience supporting oil and gas activities in Texas or New Mexico Working knowledge of Microsoft Office 365 (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, SharePoint, Teams, Word) Ability to travel up to 10% annually Preferred Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Environmental Science, Engineering, Energy Management, or a related field Direct experience with Permian Basin regulatory agencies (e.g., the Railroad Commission of Texas, General Land Office, New Mexico Oil Conservation Division, Bureau of Land Management, and State Land Office) and permitting processes Familiarity with environmental and biological resource considerations in the Permian Basin Experience submitting reports through state regulatory systems and resolving data or submission errors Strong data management skills, including ability to analyze large datasets, identify discrepancies, and ensure reporting accuracy Proven ability to work across teams to gather, validate, and compile regulatory data for reporting and compliance Apply By: Jul 13, 2026 Sponsorship: ConocoPhillips’ sponsorship for employment authorization in the U.S. is NOT available for this position.
