The Impact You’ll Make in this Role As a Global PolyChem Procurement Operations Specialist, you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative people around the world.
Here, you will make an impact by: Leading supplier negotiations to achieve savings and improved terms Supporting category teams in sourcing activities Driving process improvements with global teams Ensuring compliance with fraud prevention controls Developing data driven negotiation strategies Supporting category leaders in meeting procurement goals Your Skills and Expertise To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications: Bachelor’s degree or higher (completed and verified prior to start). 5+ years of experience in supply chain, finance, or a related field, with hands-on experience in procurement, sourcing, or supplier management.
Strong negotiation, analytical, and data interpretation skills to support effective decision-making. Proven ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams in a global environment. Proficiency in standard business tools, including Excel and ERP or procurement systems, with strong attention to detail and a commitment to compliance.
Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include: Experience with category management or strategic sourcing initiatives, along with knowledge of procurement best practices and process optimization. Familiarity with supplier risk management and compliance controls, with the ability to support effective and compliant procurement processes.
Strong data analysis capabilities using advanced Excel or other analytics tools, with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively. Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with experience working in a multinational or matrixed organization.
