The Difference You Make: Santander Corporate & Investment Banking is seeking a Vice President in Origination to join its Fund Solutions platform . The Vice President will play a senior role in originating, structuring and executing financing solutions for private capital clients, including private equity, infrastructure, real estate, private credit and other alternative asset managers.
The role will cover a broad range of fund finance products, including subscription / capital call facilities, NAV facilities, hybrid facilities, GP facilities, asset-backed lending structures, equity bridge and back-leverage solutions and other bespoke fund-level financings.
This is a client-facing role requiring strong commercial judgment, technical credit expertise and the ability to drive transactions from initial opportunity identification through structuring, internal approvals, documentation, closing and ongoing relationship development.
The successful candidate will be expected to help expand Santander’s Fund Solutions franchise while maintaining a disciplined approach to credit, risk management and portfolio quality. Lead origination efforts for Fund Solutions across alternative asset managers, including private equity, infrastructure, real estate and credit funds.
Identify, pitch and structure financing solutions across the fund lifecycle, including subscription lines, NAV loans, hybrid facilities, ABLs, back-leverage facilities and other bespoke liquidity solutions. Contribute to new transactions through structuring, credit analysis, financial modeling, client due diligence, negotiation of legal documentation and supporting growth in the client base through new originations and refinancing opportunities Collaborat e e ffectively with CIB teams globally across Fund solutions, Leveraged Finance, M&A, Structured Finance , Sponsor coverage and Distribution.
Assess fund structures, LP bases, borrowing bases, investment portfolios, collateral packages, liquidity needs, sponsor quality and exit / repayment sources. Contribute to the development of Santander’s Fund Solutions strategy, product development, market intelligence, internal policies and best practices.
Develop and maintain client relationships with fund sponsors, CFOs, treasury teams, capital markets t eams and other key market participants through transaction as well as client and industry events

- Education Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, Engineering or a related analytical discipline required.
- MBA, CFA or other relevant professional designation is helpful but not required.
- Experience 6–10+ years of relevant experience in F und F inance including NAV financing, Asset back lending , S ubscription finance , hybrid facilities, GP lines, equity bridge loans or other fund-level financing products strongly preferred.
- Strong understanding of private capital fund structures, limited partner commitments, borrowing bases, NAV collateral and sponsor liquid ity needs .
- Demonstrated experience originating, structuring or executing fund finance transactions.
- Experience in Rated feeders, CFOs, L everaged finance, P roject / infrastructure finance, private credit or a related credit / origination role also helpful but not required.
- Existing relationships with private capital sponsors, fund finance market participants, law firms and/or institutional lenders are a plus.
- Skills & Attributes Excellent credit judgment and ability to balance client objectives with Santander’s risk appetite.
- Strong analytical, structuring and documentation skills.
- Ability to lead multiple transactions and priorities in a fast-paced, client-facing environment.
- Strong commercial orientation with the ability to identify opportunities and convert client dialogue into actionable transactions.
- Clear and concise written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to present to senior internal stakeholders and clients.
- High attention to detail and strong ownership of work product.
- Certifications: SIE, S63, S79 required within 90 days of hire It Would Be Nice For You To Have: Established work history or equivalent demonstrated through a combination of work experience, training, military service, or education.

- For hourly positions (non-exempt), the annual range is based on a 40-hour work week.
- The exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, training, licensure and certifications and location.
