Summary The Senior Director, National Accounts is responsible for managing and expanding strategic home office relationships with either National Banks or National RIAs to drive sales of Vanguard's financial products and services. This role develops and executes long-term relationship strategies and near-term business plans that align Vanguard's capabilities with the priorities of assigned client firms.

The Senior Director is accountable for a select portfolio of Vanguard's most strategically important intermediary relationships, representing significant distribution opportunities and serving as a key contributor to Vanguard's growth strategy within the National Accounts channel.

Success in this role requires the ability to build and deepen relationships with executive leadership, investment committees, due diligence teams, and other key stakeholders across client organizations. A strategic vision, strong consultative sales approach, and the ability to facilitate enterprise-to-enterprise connections are critical to strengthening partnerships and expanding Vanguard's presence.

The Senior Director is expected to embody a growth mindset, continuously adapting to evolving client needs while driving results and contributing to a forward-thinking, client-centric sales organization. What It Takes Creates and executes strategic account plans designed to expand distribution opportunities and maximize Vanguard's presence within assigned National Bank or National RIA relationships.

Develops, maintains, and expands strategic home office relationships through ongoing engagement with executive leadership, home office contacts, investment committees, due diligence professionals, marketing teams, sales desks, and key business influencers.

Thoroughly understands the strategy, philosophy, and current priorities of client organizations (investment philosophy, client base, product preferences, key goals, challenges, etc.) and acts as a trusted advisor in aligning Vanguard's products, services, and capabilities to client needs.

Educates firms on the benefits of Vanguard and its offerings. Partners with select intermediary firms to participate in special events, client seminars, and key producer educational meetings and events to develop, maintain, and broaden relationships.

Develops deep business acumen and expertise related to the capital markets, investment management industry, and marketplace developments. Utilizes this experience, along with knowledge of Vanguard and competitor products, to serve as a trusted advisor and effectively position Vanguard's products and services.

Achieves sales goals while operating within the spirit of Vanguard's Code of Ethics. Partners closely with field sales teams and internal business partners to drive execution and enable a consistent client experience. Collaborates with Enterprise Client Group on mutual client relationships.

Provides market intelligence and client feedback to Vanguard product and business teams to help inform future opportunities and strategic priorities. Interacts closely with Sales Managers regarding broad channel and client issues. Leads or participates in special projects and performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications Minimum of five years of National Accounts or Home Office sales experience with specific exposure to either National Banks or National RIAs at the home office level. Strong understanding of investment products, intermediary distribution, and the regulatory environment.

Active FINRA Series 7 and 63 licenses or the ability to obtain within 90 days of initial employment. Undergraduate degree or equivalent work experience required. Ability and willingness to travel a minimum of 60% required. Preferred Qualifications CFA and/or advanced designations highly preferred.
