Position Summary: The Machine Operator is responsible for performing various tasks to set up, operate, monitor, troubleshoot, and perform mechanical. adjustments on assigned machines. This position will also be responsible for inspecting parts to specifications, and making adjustments as necessary.
Essential Duties: Operate and monitor liquid filling and packaging machines. Follow work orders and production instructions carefully. Adjust machines during setup, repairs, and product changeovers. Keep track of materials and parts to make sure production runs smoothly; count inventory when needed.
Report machine problems or quality concerns right away. Check products during production to make sure they meet quality standards. Stack, wrap, and label finished products on pallets correctly. Keep machines and work areas clean and organized.
Complete production and quality paperwork accurately. Restock supplies using proper equipment. Follow all safety rules and maintain a clean work environment. Follow company policies and help with other assigned tasks. Education / Experience: · High school diploma or GED required.
At least 6 months of manufacturing experience preferred/required. Forklift certification may be required (training can be provided). Clamp truck certification may be required (training can be provided). Able to work in environments with extreme temperatures, chemicals, fumes, dust, loud noise, and vibrations.
Able to read, write, and communicate clearly. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Able to use hand tools and equipment like fillers, cappers, sealers, printers, and labelers. Basic math skills required. Able to work well with others and learn new tasks through cross-training.
Flexible and able to adjust to changing priorities or overtime when needed. Positive attitude and teamwork-focused. Able to stand or sit for long periods. Able to lift or move up to 50+ pounds with or without assistive equipment. Able to perform the job with or without reasonable accommodation.
