Job Description

  • Business Analyst II (Level 5) Global Finance Solutions (GFS) is seeking a Business Analyst II (Level 5) to support the development and implementation of Business Intelligence and analytics across Finance functions. GFS is a global finance organization responsible for managing accounting, reporting
  • analytical services for Amazon’s worldwide finance teams. The GFS Planning, Processes
  • Tools (PPT) organization builds and scales financial planning systems and processes and is a key contributor to planning, budgeting
  • forecasting activities. The team leverages data analytics and visualization to drive standardization and automation
  • develops scalable, plug-and-play solutions for Supply Chain and Operations teams within the JP SSD Line of Business. As a Business Analyst II, you will be responsible for deriving deep, actionable insights across multiple business functions and driving continuous improvement through data. You will demonstrate a strong understanding of business requirements, the ability to quickly identify root causes of complex business problems

  • escalations to leadership and business stakeholders Basic Qualifications 3+ years of experience as a Business Analyst, Data Analyst
  • in a similar analytical role 5+ years of experience with Excel (including VBA, pivot tables, array functions, Power Pivot, etc.) and data visualization tools such as Tableau Experience defining business requirements and leveraging data and metrics to generate meaningful business insights Experience making data-driven business recommendations and influencing stakeholders Preferred Qualifications Demonstrated experience in requirements gathering and the ability to create clear, detailed
  • well-structured requirement documentation Proven experience analyzing large datasets and translating findings into actionable business insights Strong presentation and whiteboarding skills, with a high level of comfort communicating with internal and external executives, IT leadership
  • technical teams Ability to work proactively and independently, manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines
  • consistently deliver on projects and tasks Experience working in a fast-paced, high-tech environment
  • demonstrated ability to execute complex tasks quickly with minimal guidance and respond with appropriate urgency Experience communicating analytical results to senior leadership and/or applying key financial performance indicators (KPIs) to business analyses Experience driving IT or cross-functional projects to completion with minimal supervision
  • 3+ years of tax, finance or a related analytical field experience - 5+ years of Excel (including VBA, pivot tables, array functions, power pivots, etc.) and data visualization tools such as Tableau experience - 3+ years of business or financial analysis experience - Experience defining requirements and using data and metrics to draw business insights - Experience making business recommendations and influencing stakeholders - Experience with Excel
  • Experience with SQL, programming languages
  • Excel VBA to build scalable analytical and automation solutions - Experience defining, tracking
  • evolving performance metrics and KPIs to measure operational and financial performance - Experience conducting financial, operational
  • other advanced quantitative analyses to support strategic decision-making - Master’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering
