Job Description

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Interprets approved electrical schematics and wiring diagrams to perform assigned work in accordance with documented requirements. Verifies Bill of Materials and component revision levels prior to assembly, ensuring compliance with current documentation.

Performs panel layout and component mounting per approved drawings, work instructions, and quality standards. Performs wire preparation activities (cutting, stripping, crimping, labeling) in accordance with documented workmanship standards and specifications.

Routes harnesses and cable assemblies according to drawings, specifications, and safety requirements. Terminates harnesses and cable assemblies in accordance with standard procedures. Applies controlled torque values using calibrated tools in accordance with specifications.

Applies wire management techniques to ensure organization, accessibility, and reliability. Performs soldering tasks under supervision in accordance with IPC standards. Performs continuity and point-to-point testing per documented test procedures.

Supports functional testing activities under supervision. Identifies and documents electrical nonconformances per NCR procedures. Accurately records labor, production, and inspection data to ensure traceability. Follows ESD control procedures with guidance.

Maintains 5S standards and organized workstations in accordance with company policy. Complies with PPE and electrical safety requirements at all times. Verifies calibration status of tools under guidance. Packages assemblies following documented instructions.

Verifies and uses controlled documents in accordance with document control procedures. Participates in required training activities. Provides improvement feedback when requested. Shares job knowledge as required. Communicates effectively within the work group.

Follows defined operational and quality processes. This position may perform work on live electrical systems under the direct supervision of an Industrial Electrical Technician II or III, ensuring all tasks are completed safely and in compliance with established safety standards.

QUALIFICATIONS Education and Work Experience High school diploma or GED. 2–3 years of experience with electrical components, wiring, and basic assembly. Compensation Information: $21.50 - $22.50/hr. depending on experience ITW is an equal opportunity employer.
