About this role: Wells Fargo is seeking a Sr. Lead Data Product Management Consultant to join our Auto business. This role is responsible for leading the design, development, and governance of Auto Finance enterprise data models that support operational processes, analytics, regulatory reporting, and strategic business initiatives.
The individual will perform deep analysis of existing data structures, and business processes to develop conceptual, logical, and physical data models that align with enterprise data governance standards, architecture principles, and data management best practices.
They will partner with business, technology, architecture, and governance teams to ensure consistency, traceability, and data integrity across systems of record and downstream applications. Success in this role requires strong technical expertise in SQL-based data analysis, the ability to rapidly understand and assess current-state data models, and the capability to design future-state data solutions.

In this role, you will: Define target-state models for new data sources Ensure models are scalable + reusable across products Apply enterprise data management policy and drive model standardization across domains Evaluate impact of data model changes across regulatory reporting, analytics, and operations Serve as a strategic liaison between data management, product teams, data engineering, and architecture teams throughout the data product lifecycle Provide vision, direction, and expertise to senior leadership on implementing innovative and significant data product solutions that are large-scale cross-functional or companywide strategies Lead complex data product initiatives, delivering scalable solutions aligned to data governance standards; perform deep dives into current data models to understand structure and define target-state design while guiding cross-functional teams Provide expert input on new use case intake, prioritization, product roadmap definition, and other critical business processes Lead end-to-end data projects, from requirement gathering to solution delivery.
Design and implement scalable data models, pipelines, and governance frameworks. Provide thought leadership on data strategy, architecture, and emerging technologies. Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Business, Technology, Operations) to align analytics solutions with organizational goals.
Ensure compliance with data security, privacy, and regulatory standards. Required Qualifications: 7+ years of data product or data management experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education Desired Qualifications: Proven expertise in data analysis, data management, data modeling, and data engineering.
Strong understanding of data as a product Understanding of data integration patterns (ETL/ELT/streaming) Experience in auto lending or financial services Ability to write, read, and optimize queries for data extraction, transformation, and analysis using SQL Ability to navigate ambiguity and drive clarity in fast paced environments Excellent communication, stakeholder management and influencing skills Data warehousing experience (EDW, marts, dimensional modeling) Knowledge of metadata and lineage tools Knowledge of process improvement methodologies Strong proficiency in SQL, Python/R, and advanced analytics tools Fluent in agile ways of working and agile project management practices, proficient in creating efficient user stories, and other agile project artifacts.
