Bosch Australia Manufacturing Solutions (BAMS) is seeking an experienced Specialist Consultant – Manufacturing to join our growing Manufacturing Consulting team. This is an exciting opportunity to partner with leading Australian manufacturers, helping them solve complex business challenges through world-class manufacturing strategy, Lean transformation and Industry 4.0 solutions. Working alongside Bosch's global network of manufacturing experts, you will deliver high-value consulting services that improve productivity, efficiency and long-term business performance across a diverse range of industries. BAMS specialises in advanced manufacturing consulting, robotics, automation and digital transformation solutions for customers throughout Australia and New Zealand. About the Role As a trusted manufacturing consultant, you will work directly with customers to understand their operational challenges and develop practical, commercially focused solutions that deliver measurable outcomes. Your responsibilities will include: Identifying, developing and delivering manufacturing consulting projects for external clients. Partnering with customers to understand business challenges, manufacturing and operational objectives. Providing expert advice across manufacturing strategy, business case development, Lean Manufacturing, Bosch Production Systems, Design for Manufacture & Assembly (DFMA), Value Stream Design (VSD), Lean Line Design (LLD), process optimisation, logistics concepts and Industry 4.0. Preparing proposals, technical reports and customer presentations. Facilitating workshops and training programs covering Lean Manufacturing, Bosch Production Systems and continuous improvement methodologies. Coordinating subject matter experts from Bosch Australia, Bosch global teams and external partners to deliver consulting outcomes. Building strong relationships with customers, industry partners and strategic stakeholders. Supporting the Business Development team to identify new consulting opportunities and grow the Manufacturing Consulting business. Developing consulting methodologies, templates, documentation and best-practice processes to support continued business growth.
- You are an experienced manufacturing professional who combines technical expertise with commercial awareness and enjoys solving complex operational challenges. To succeed in this role, you will have: Bachelor's degree (or higher) in Engineering or a related technical discipline. Significant experience across manufacturing, production engineering or industrial operations. Broad knowledge of manufacturing processes across manual, automated and advanced manufacturing environments. Experience in manufacturing strategy, business planning and business case development. Strong understanding of Lean Manufacturing, Continuous Improvement, Design for Manufacture & Assembly (DFMA), Value Stream Design and production optimisation. Knowledge of Industry 4.0, smart manufacturing or digital transformation initiatives. Excellent stakeholder engagement, consulting and relationship management skills. Strong commercial acumen with the ability to identify opportunities and deliver customer value. Outstanding presentation, facilitation and report writing skills. Coaching and leadership capabilities with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels. Excellent organisational and project management skills. Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Visio). Plant Simulation and CAD experience will be highly regarded.
