The Opportunity This position works out of our San Diego, CA location in the Infectious Diseases Division in Abbott Diagnostics. This role is based on site daily in our San Diego, CA office. Our diagnostic solutions are used in hospitals, laboratories, and clinics around the globe.

The crucial information derived from our tests, instruments, and informatics systems is often the first step in patient care decision-making for hundreds of health conditions from heart attacks to blood disorders to infectious diseases and cancers.

What You’ll Work On Responsible for participating in the development of new and existing products. Assists with finding solutions to product development problems of limited scope. Participates in system level design documentation and requirements specification.

Develops and follows specialized procedures in executing experiments, evaluation and documentation of results. Develops working relationships internally/externally. In addition, you will also be responsible for the following: Participate in product definition, system architecture, requirements writing, requirements management, requirements analysis, risk analysis, hazard analysis, product test and evaluation, System V & V, and/or design control documentation.

Participate in development of new products/systems. Participate in optimizing design processes. Design and conduct system level characterization/verification of complex systems. Collect, organize, analyze, and document test results. Participate in integration of analytical and performance related elements with software, hardware, and electronics system components.

Communicate effectively and participate on cross functional development teams. Responsible for utilizing and maintaining the effectiveness of the quality system. Failure to properly integrate all systems could result in product introduction delays and quality issues.

Required Qualifications Minimum 4 yrs relevant experience Bachelor's of Science degree or 2 yrs relevant experience and a MS degree or equivalent years of education and experience in Engineering and Sciences. Solid knowledge of general engineering/science principals and laboratory skills.

Strong knowledge of defined development process that is consistent with ISO, FDA design control standards or requirements. Knowledge of contemporary design control and risk management practices. Understanding of the electro-mechanical, software, mathematical, chemical or biochemical process operative in diagnostic systems.

Preferred Qualifications Previous experience in Abbott or similar company of at least 3 months or more with products related to our industry. At Least 3 years of experience in Azure DevOps. At least 4 years of experience in Power BI. At least 3 years of experience in Sprint and Scrum Processes.

Cloud Practitioner Certificate. Databricks Fundamentals Certificate. Data warehouse Certificates. At least 3 years of experience in Building Semantic Models in Power BI. At least 3 years of experience in Performance Tunning for Power BI Models.
