Role Summary The Senior Manager of Platform Engineering is responsible for leading enterprise-wide platform initiatives, ensuring system reliability and managing a team of technical professionals. This role involves overseeing platform architecture, performance optimization and incident management while driving strategic improvements and technology adoption.

The ideal candidate will have deep technical expertise, leadership experience and a strong understanding of scalable platform solutions. Responsibilites 1. Hire, evaluate and supervise team members, providing guidance, training and performance management to ensure business objectives are met. 2.

Manage the planning and implementation of enterprise-wide platform projects, including scheduling, resource allocation and communication of project status. 3. Lead incident management efforts, resolving complex platform availability issues escalated by staff. 4.

Oversee technical support teams responsible for platform implementation, monitoring, troubleshooting and system installations. 5. Develop and execute long-term platform strategies, aligning with department, divisional and corporate objectives. 6.

Evaluate system modifications and implement solutions that enhance business capabilities and align with future technology needs. 7. Plan and implement new technologies and major system releases, leading troubleshooting, configuration and system optimization efforts. 8.

Establish and enforce platform performance, quality and user satisfaction metrics, driving continuous improvement. 9. Provide thought leadership on platform technologies, industry trends and best practices, ensuring technical standards remain competitive. 10.

Manage vendor selection, evaluation and performance for IT platform products and services. 11. Understand business functions and requirements, determining the best technical solutions to address organizational needs. 12. Participate in special projects and perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications and Skills Minimum 10 years of related work experience relevant experience in platform engineering, systems support, or infrastructure management. Bachelor’s degree (B.E./B.Tech) in Computer Science or IT, or Bachelor’s in Computer Applications (BCA), or Master’s in Computer Applications (MCA).

Strong expertise in software platform development, including designing, testing, debugging, and implementation. Experience defining product roadmaps, technical requirements, and platform architecture. Proficiency in software programming languages and database technologies.

Proven leadership experience in managing technical teams and large-scale platform projects. Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to drive technical innovation and strategic decision-making. Location This role is based in Hyderabad, Telangana at Vanguard’s India office.
