Microsoft’s Azure Data engineering team is leading the transformation of analytics in the world of data with products like databases, data integration, big data analytics, messaging & real-time analytics, and business intelligence. The products our portfolio include Microsoft Fabric, Azure SQL DB, Azure Cosmos DB, Azure PostgreSQL, Azure Data Factory, Azure Synapse Analytics, Azure Service Bus, Azure Event Grid, and Power BI.

Within Azure Data, the business intelligence team builds and maintains Power BI which is the undisputed leader in BI tool in the industry today and serves as the bridge between data professionals & Office users.
Power BI’s core value proposition is to enable end users to get answers & insights from their data through data visualization. The Core AI team is responsible for the AI-powered creation experiences within Power BI, enabling users to build reports, visuals, and insights faster and more intuitively.

Responsibilities Defines and drives the product vision and roadmap for AI-powered creation experiences in Power BI, aligning with broader team and organizational goals.
Partners closely with engineering, design, and data science teams to deliver intelligent authoring features that are intuitive, reliable, and impactful at scale. Deeply understands customer needs through research, telemetry, and direct engagement, translating insights into well-defined product requirements.
Works across Microsoft teams to ensure AI capabilities integrate cohesively into the Power BI experience and broader Fabric ecosystem. Uses data and experimentation to evaluate feature success, iterate quickly, and make informed prioritization decisions.
Communicates product strategy and progress clearly to stakeholders at all levels, from engineering partners to senior leadership. Qualifications Required Qualifications Bachelor's Degree, OR equivalent experience. Additional Requirements Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role.
These requirements include, but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings: Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter .
Preferred Qualifications Bachelor's Degree AND 1+ year(s) experience in product/service/program management or software development, ,OR equivalent experience. 1+ year(s) experience with Power BI 1+ year(s) experience taking a product, feature, or experience to market (e.g., design, addressing product market fit, and launch, internal tool/framework). 1+ year(s) experience improving product metrics for a product, feature, or experience in a market (e.g., growing customer base, expanding customer usage, avoiding customer churn). 1+ year(s) experience disrupting a market for a product, feature, or experience (e.g., competitive disruption, taking the place of an established competing product) Product Management IC2 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $85,400 - $168,100 per year.
There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $111,100 - $183,700 per year. Certain roles may be eligible for benefits and other compensation.
