In the Finance division, we act as a partner to business units around the globe by providing management, review, analysis and advisory services of the Firm's financial and capital resources. This is a Vice President position within our Finance Business Management Job Family which performs business management/CAO functions including headcount management, financials, people processes, executive communications, strategic support, divisional governance, regulatory support etc.
Includes regional, location and department management and oversight. This role sits within the Global Corporate Controllers (GCC) group. GCC is responsible for the financial and regulatory reporting of the Firm/legal entities, accounting and regulatory policy and advisory.
The team is 850+ person global organization within the Firm. The Chief Administrative Officer (CAO) team is responsible for supporting the Global Company Controller in managing the day-to-day operations of the GCC organization and managing the firm's Independent Auditor relationship.
Responsibilities include: > Working closely with the CAO in understanding the organization's policies and objectives and work towards achieving organizational goals > Manage the day-to-day activities related to Budgeting, Forecasting, Headcount Reporting and Allocations > Managing the Month End and Year End accrual process > Prepare monthly expense reporting, assist with metrics presentations, ad hoc reporting and savings analysis. > Monitor key people metrics and oversee contingent population onboarding and reporting including tracking and analysis of headcount > Work with HR on candidate onboarding approvals across the entire organizations including external contingent and Auditor population > Monitor and Review agreements - terms and budgets.
Ensure adherence of internal controls for life cycle of agreements and payment. Work closely with Sourcing, Legal and MS Business Units. > Liaising with Human Resources, Training, Legal, Compliance, and Controllers > Oversee requests related to People Initiatives (Team Building, Charity, Communication) > Other special projects The successful candidate would ideally have the following characteristics: d methodical person with strong analytical skills > Ability to multi task in a dynamic, fast paced environment > A problem solver, who is confident, organized and self-motivated > Superior attention to detail with a commitment to organization and accuracy (responsible for metrics, management information, presentations) > Strong communication skills both oral and written > Ability to interact with different business functions and levels of seniority across the Firm > Ability to challenge the processes and issues owned by the team > Self-motivated and ability to work consistently and efficiently to achieve end goals > Collaborative and adaptable team player > Preferably 5-10 years' experience of experience in financial services Educational Requirements: > Bachelor's degree in Business, Accounting or Finance > Systems required: Expert in MS Office Suite: (Excel, Word, Powerpoint, PowerBI) What you can expect from Morgan Stanley: We have a track record of innovation and passion for unlocking new opportunities, we help our clients raise, manage and allocate capital.

However, base pay if hired will be determined on an individualized basis and is only part of the total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, incentive compensation, discretionary bonuses, other short and long-term incentive packages, and other Morgan Stanley sponsored benefit programs.
