Join CE&S and help us accelerate AI transformation for our customers and the world. As a Corp Cloud Solution Architect for Apps in EMEA, aligned to Cloud Accelerate Factory, you act as a technical authority accelerating application modernization on Azure.

You drive strategic customer and partner engagements, lead architecture and engineering decisions end-to-end, and proactively unblock critical challenges to ensure successful, scalable transformation outcomes across your assigned geo. We're actively seeking a Cloud Solution Architect (CSA) who specializes in Modernizing Applications, adopting cloud-native architectures, and accelerating digital transformation.

As a CSA, you'll be at the forefront of driving our customers' transformation on Microsoft Azure. This customer-facing role involves owning the technical relationship between the customer and Microsoft. Your mission: help customers unlock the full potential of their Microsoft investments through architecture, implementation, and operational health engagements.

Responsibilities Engage with customer IT and business leaders to understand their cloud migration plans, their network and data estate, priorities, and success measures, and design secure, scalable solutions that deliver measurable business value.

Work with account teams to get quality nominations for Factory Delivery in, ensuring we capture all services and accelerate migration to cloud. Define cloud adoption strategies, migration roadmaps, and modernization initiatives. Create architecture diagrams, solution blueprints, and technical documentation.

Own the end-to-end technical delivery results for factory engagements, ensuring completeness, quality and accuracy of consumption and customer success plans in collaboration with the Microsoft Account teams. Provide delivery oversight and escalation support for key Factory engagements across applications workloads.

Maintain deep technical expertise and stay current with market trends, insights, and Microsoft’s evolving Azure services. Be accredited and certified to deliver with advanced and expert-level proficiency across priority application workloads, including cloud-native architectures (AKS, Azure Container Apps), API and microservices design, and modernization of .NET and Java applications.

Drive replatforming, refactoring, and re-architecting of enterprise applications, ensuring scalable, resilient, and production-grade solutions on Azure. Utilize AI-assisted tools like GitHub Copilot for code remediation and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) for landing zones.

Drive repeatable modernization processes across customer engagements using Factory practices. Provide hands-on technical leadership during deployment, integration, and migration. Demonstrate a growth mindset by continuously aligning your skills to team and customer needs, contributing to technical communities, and mentoring others to accelerate customer outcomes.

Qualifications Required/Minimum Qualifications Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Business, or related field AND experience in cloud/infrastructure technologies, information technology (IT) consulting/support, systems administration, network operations, software development/support, technology solutions, practice development, architecture, and/or consulting OR Master's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Business, or related field AND experience in cloud/infrastructure technologies, technology solutions, practice development, architecture, and/or consulting OR equivalent experience experience working in a customer-facing role (e.g., internal and/or external). experience working on technical projects Technical Certification in Cloud (e.g., Azure, Amazon Web Services, Google, security certifications) Additional or Preferred Qualifications Business Value: The ability to convey the business needs and value of proposed solutions, plans, and risks to stakeholders and decision makers.

This includes the ability to persuade and inform based on facts and alignment with goals and strategy. Trusted Advisership: The ability to build trusted advisor status and deep relationships across stakeholders (e.g., technical decision makers, business decision makers) through an understanding of customer needs and technologies.

Situational fluency: Using self‑awareness as a mechanism to interpret verbal and non‑verbal cues to increase your ability to "read the room." Insightful listening: Asking insightful questions to understand the customer needs, issues, business environment and drivers, and going beyond what the customer has said.

Technical Hands‑on experience with .NET or Java development, containerization (Docker), and orchestration (AKS/Kubernetes). Hands‑on experience with GitHub Copilot (GHCP), including the ability to leverage AI‑assisted development for improving code quality, accelerating delivery, and enhancing developer productivity.

Ability to use GitHub Copilot for code remediation. Expertise in Azure PaaS offerings including (but not limited to): Azure App Services, AKS, Azure Container Apps, Azure Spring Apps, Azure Red Hat OpenShift. Identity and security services: Azure AD, Key Vault, Managed Identities, Defender for Cloud.

Hands‑on experience with Terraform, Bicep, or ARM templates for Infrastructure as Code (IaC). Knowledge of DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, GitHub Actions, or Azure DevOps. Understanding of cloud security, compliance frameworks, and governance models.

Problem‑solving skills and the ability to work in a fast‑paced environment. Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and / or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include, but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings: Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud Background Check upon hire / transfer and every two years thereafter.

Cloud Solution Architecture IC5 - The typical base pay range for this role across United Kingdom is £ 79,700.00 - £ 133,900.00 per year. Certain roles may be eligible for benefits and other compensation.
