- We are looking for a dynamic, strategic
- deeply curious Senior HR Business Partner to join our People Experience and Technology (PXT) team supporting Retail Business Services (RBS) teams in India. The Sr. HRBP role exists to power the trajectory of the business by ensuring Amazon has the right talent mix, senior leadership
- capabilities to innovate and deliver exceptional customer experiences. This is both a strategic and hands-on role — you will serve as the leader of people and organizational strategy, accelerating business outcomes through the diagnosis, development
- execution of integrated solutions. You will start with the business first, speak the language of the business
- act as a trusted advisor to senior leaders (Directors and VPs) across a diverse and fast-evolving portfolio. This role is critical in building and executing our people initiatives across the organization, including improving organizational effectiveness & design, leading change management, providing leadership coaching, driving talent planning

- Partner with senior leaders (VPs and Directors) and their leadership teams to develop and execute people strategies and planning activities that foster organizational and people effectiveness.
- Leverage knowledge of the business, global landscape
- trends — including internal strategy documents (3YP, OP1) and external factors (social, cultural, political, legal environment) — to tailor people-focused solutions and drive business outcomes.
- Interpret key people metrics and trends; leverage mechanisms (MBRs, QBRs, business planning cycles) to inspect and monitor risks, evaluate practices for potential bias or barriers to inclusion, and recommend solutions.
- Utilize Amazon Org Design mechanisms and guidance to design, recommend, and implement effective organization structures aligned with business strategy, strengthening culture and enabling inclusive decision-making.
- Review and analyze business unit data to identify trends and recommend solutions to improve performance, retention, and employee experience. Senior Leader & Leadership Team Effectiveness
- Assess both long-term and immediate senior leader talent needs and skills to achieve business goals.
- Develop strategies to build required senior leader capabilities and establish inclusive pipelines through hiring, build vs. buy approaches, internal development, succession planning, and talent movement.
- Serve as a coach, advisor

- Challenge senior leaders to break mental models on ways of working, biases, structure, and talent decisions. Change Agent
- Use listening mechanisms to identify trends, risks, and hotspots to inform change plans, de-risk the business, and maximize customer experience.
- Drive effective change environments by leveraging multiple perspectives in change planning and implementation, using inclusive communication strategies.
- Influence and coach senior leaders as they build their teams’ ability to navigate unexpected or continuous organizational changes.
- Monitor and evaluate whether implemented changes had the intended effects and determine the durability of those changes over time. Talent Planning
- Through senior leader partnerships, build long-term inclusive workforce plans aligned with business objectives, considering cost, skills, and location strategy.
- Provide coaching, influence, and support to senior leaders in staying on track with workforce plans, and provide perspective on trade-offs around resourcing critical initiatives.
- Anticipate near-term industry trends and talent needs; determine gaps in current and future talent capabilities and propose options to accelerate business objectives.
- Proactively create talent goals and cadence with the Senior Leadership team, building inclusive talent mechanisms into the organization’s rhythm of business (talent reviews, Q1 compensation planning, MBRs). HR Functional Excellence & AI Adoption
- Demonstrate curiosity and hands-on adoption of AI tools and resources to enhance HR effectiveness, including using generative AI, HR analytics platforms

- Collaborate extensively with other PXT teams — HR Partners, Employee Relations, IXT, Legal, Talent Management — to build and deliver an integrated people plan. About the team This role supports the Retail Business Services (RBS) teams based in India. You will be part of a PXT team that owns and drives the strategic people agenda for a diverse, high-growth portfolio — partnering closely with business leaders across India while collaborating with global HR counterparts to ensure alignment and consistency in people strategy.
- Bachelor's degree or above in Human Resources, Human Resources Management, Labor Relations, Business/Management, Psychology
- a related field - Experience supporting senior management in large, corporate environments or equivalent - Experience in project or program management - Experience communicating with managers and associates at all levels - Experience working with large global teams - Experience working with global teams, driving organizational change initiatives
- developing talent management plans for a global organization - 8+ years of progressive experience in an HR Business Partner role, preferably in a high-tech or fast-paced environment. - Strong data analytics background with the ability to leverage data to establish HR priorities and drive change. - Proven ability to diagnose problems using strategic thinking skills and data analysis

- Master's degree in Human Resources Management, Business Administration or a related field - Experience in mentoring, leading and coaching - Experience using data and metrics to influence senior leadership and drive organizational change - Experience dealing well with ambiguity, prioritizing needs
- delivering measurable results in an agile environment - Experience working cross-functionally and across regions - Experience owning and executing the process to identify and attract talent for immediate business needs, as well as for critical long-term talent pipelines - Experience in organizational leadership and development or talent management, with experience in a senior leadership role - Knowledge of employment law and HR policies and procedures - Experience in adoption and strategic application of AI tools and resources within the HR function — including generative AI for workforce analytics, talent planning
