Investor Services Manager -Capital Markets-Home Lending
About this Role Wells Fargo is seeking an experienced Investor Services Manager within Capital Markets supporting Home Lending to lead a team responsible for critical investor servicing functions within Capital Markets Portfolio Management Operations.
This leader will oversee investor reconciliation, cash management, custodial account balancing, investor remittances, and operational controls while ensuring compliance with investor, regulatory, and corporate requirements. The successful candidate will possess strong mortgage servicing operations experience, deep knowledge of investor accounting and reconciliation processes, and a demonstrated ability to lead high-performing teams in a complex, highly regulated environment.
This role requires a leader who can drive operational excellence, strengthen risk management practices, and partner effectively across Servicing, Finance, Risk, Compliance, and Technology organizations
In This Role, You Will
- Investor Reconciliation & Cash Management Lead investor reconciliation activities supporting Home Lending Capital Markets Portfolio Management Operations.
- Oversee daily and monthly reconciliation of servicing operational accounts and investor custodial accounts.
- Manage cash position balancing and money movement activities generated by servicing and investor reporting functions.
- Ensure accurate and timely investor remittances to Agency, Government, and Private Investors, including Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, Ginnie Mae, and other investor relationships.
- Oversee wire transfer and ACH activities supporting consumer banking and lending operations.
- Operational Risk & Controls Identify and assess existing and emerging operational risks.
- Develop and enhance operational controls to ensure compliance with investor, regulatory, legal, and enterprise requirements.
- Lead efforts to remediate control gaps, audit findings, and operational issues.
- Partner with Risk, Compliance, Audit, and Operations teams to maintain a strong control environment.
- Influence decisions regarding policies, procedures, and controls that support business objectives while mitigating risk.
- Operational Excellence & Process Improvement Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on efficiency, productivity, quality, and customer outcomes.
- Identify opportunities to streamline processes, automate activities, and improve operational performance.
- Lead implementation of new and revised systems, policies, procedures, and business processes.
- Monitor performance metrics and develop action plans to address operational challenges and improve results.
- Leadership & Talent Development Lead, coach, mentor, and develop a team.
- Manage performance, hiring, succession planning, employee development, and recognition activities.
- Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, inclusion, and continuous improvement.
- Align team objectives with Capital Markets Portfolio Management Operations and enterprise priorities.
- Stakeholder Management Serve as a key partner across Servicing, Finance, Accounting, Risk, Compliance, Technology, Treasury Cash Management and Investor Reporting.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders, investors, regulators, and third-party partners.
- Influence and provide credible challenge across multiple levels of leadership.
- Communicate operational performance, emerging risks, and strategic recommendations to senior leadership.
- Required Qualifications 5+ years of Investor Services, Mortgage Servicing, Investor Reporting, Loan Administration
- related experience. 2+ years of leadership experience managing teams, projects
- operational functions.
- Desired Qualifications Experience interpreting and applying investor guidelines, servicing agreements, and regulatory requirements.
- Experience overseeing reconciliation activities, cash management, or investor remittance processes.
- Experience managing operational risk, quality assurance, and process improvement initiatives.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to make sound business decisions.
- Mortgage servicing experience supporting Agency, Government and/or private investors portfolios Knowledge of investor reporting, remittance processing, custodial accounts, and reconciliation activities.
- Experience leading operational transformation, automation, or large-scale process improvement initiatives.
- Strong understanding of mortgage servicing systems, servicing transfers, loan boarding, and portfolio management.
- Ability to identify emerging risks and translate findings into actionable business plans.
- Experience managing audit, compliance, and regulatory exam activities.
- Demonstrated ability to influence stakeholders across multiple organizational levels.
- Proven success leading teams in a highly regulated mortgage servicing environment.

- Job Expectations: This position requires compliance with all mortgages regulatory requirements and Wells Fargo’s compliance policies related to these requirements.
