You will take technical responsibility for evolving an existing reporting and analytics landscape into an integrated, scalable, and governance-compliant Data & Analytics platform based on Azure Databricks, SQL, and Power BI. In addition, you will shape innovative AI-supported analytics and automation solutions with a focus on Natural Language Analytics, Generative AI, and intelligent agents.

You will work closely with business stakeholders, platform owners, and external development partners to define target architectures, data models, integration standards, and governance principles. The objective is to build a sustainable data platform that enables harmonized KPIs, self-service analytics, and data-driven decision-making within the German organization.

In this role you will Own the definition, evolution, and implementation of the Data & Analytics target architecture for the German organization.

Evolve a heterogeneous reporting landscape into a centralized, harmonized data and analytics platform with consistent KPI definitions, self-service analytics, and AI-supported insights. Design and steer modern data architectures based on Azure Databricks, SQL, Power BI, and relevant Azure services Build and evolve scalable Lakehouse, data warehouse, and reporting architectures.

Define standards for data modelling, data quality, data governance, security, and sustainable operations of data solutions. Provide technical steering, quality assurance, and architecture governance for external development and implementation partners.

Advise business functions on translating business requirements into sustainable technical solutions. Identify and implement automation and AI opportunities using Microsoft Copilot Studio or comparable GenAI and agent platforms. Develop an architecture vision for AI-supported analytics solutions, natural-language interfaces, and intelligent automation.

Assess new technologies and best practices in data, analytics, and AI with regard to their value for the German organization. Why you? Basic Qualifications & Skills: We are looking for professionals with these required skills to achieve our goals: Degree in computer science, data science, engineering or a related field, or equivalent experience Significant hands-on experience as a Data Architect, Solution Architect, or Lead Data Engineer in analytics environments.

Strong expertise in SQL, data modeling, data warehousing, and reporting architectures. Strong experience with Azure Databricks, Delta Lake, Lakehouse architectures, and ETL/ELT processes. Very good knowledge of Power BI, semantic models, data visualization, and enterprise reporting.

Experience with Azure-related data services such as Azure Data Lake Storage Gen2, Azure Data Factory, Event Hubs, or Microsoft Purview. Understanding of modern architecture principles such as Lakehouse, Medallion Architecture, data governance, and data products.

Experience with AI-supported technologies, ideally Microsoft Copilot Studio, Copilot capabilities in analytics platforms, or comparable GenAI solutions. Experience in technically steering external development partners and service providers.
