We're seeking someone to join our team as a Director to support end-to-end software sourcing across our Business Applications software portfolio and deliver disciplined commercial outcomes across a high-value, business-critical portfolio. What you'll do in the role: - Support renewals, new demand, demand management and supplier rationalization initiatives across the Business Applications software portfolio. - Serve as a trusted advisor to technology stakeholders and partner with business, finance, legal, software asset management and third-party management teams to develop sourcing strategies and execute transactions. - Lead commercial negotiations, conduct financial and contractual analysis, and develop recommendations that drive baseline reductions, cost avoidance and risk mitigation. - Manage sourcing projects from intake through execution, including competitive bids, supplier engagement, due diligence, contracting support and purchase order facilitation. - Analyze supplier proposals, licensing structures, consumption models and commercial terms to identify opportunities for optimization and value creation. - Support high-priority technology initiatives by coordinating stakeholders, suppliers and internal control functions to facilitate timely execution.

What you'll bring to the role: - Experience in software sourcing, procurement, vendor management or technology supplier negotiations. - Knowledge of software licensing models, contract structures and technology procurement practices. - Demonstrated ability to manage multiple sourcing engagements simultaneously within a complex stakeholder environment. - Strong analytical, financial and negotiation skills with the ability to evaluate supplier proposals and develop commercial recommendations. - Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with technology, finance, legal and sourcing leadership teams. - Ability to work independently while exercising sound judgment and escalating risks appropriately. - Experience working cross-functionally on competitive bids, contract negotiations and supplier management activities. - Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and procurement tools such as Ariba or similar platforms.

However, base pay if hired will be determined on an individualized basis and is only part of the total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, incentive compensation, discretionary bonuses, other short and long-term incentive packages, and other Morgan Stanley sponsored benefit programs.
