The Opportunity We have an immediate opportunity for a Financial Analyst in our Lake County, Abbott Park, IL location. The Financial Analyst provides FP&A (Financial Planning and Analysis) support to the Global Procurement Services organization.
Oversees financial processes and activities and provides analytics to support strategic business decisions. What You'll Work On: This position supports Global Procurement and reports to the Manager, Financial Planning and Analysis. Support month end close and LBE processes.
Complete variance analysis and commentary for LBE and month end submissions. Develop forecasts and prepare supporting analytics for key budget items such as payroll and other key projects. Complete consolidations and reporting of monthly actuals and LBE.
Identify risks and opportunities and work with leadership team to bring insights forward. Provide ad hoc analysis to support key projects or other related activities as required. Identify risks and opportunities and work with leadership team to bring insights forward.
Provide ad hoc analysis to support key projects or other related activities as required. Assist with analysis and preparation of materials for the annual Plan for presentation to Vice President, Global Procurement, Corporate Controller and CFO.
Drive continuous improvements and simplifications in financial and business processes. Work both independently and in groups in a variety of situations requiring analytical and critical thinking skills. Required Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
Or an equivalent combination of education and work experience 2-4 years experience in financial planning, analysis and accounting. Strong analytical, problem solving, variance analysis skills, accuracy and attention to detail. Effective communication skills; ability to synthesize complex, technical issues and summarize with clarity.
Ability to manage many competing priorities and execute in a pressurized environment
Preferred Qualifications
- Proficient with financial modeling, systems, and other tools including Excel, Hyperion Essbase and SAP.
