We are looking for a Manufacturing Operations Specialist to join our team in Bella Vista, Sydney. The Manufacturing Operations Specialist supports the execution of site-level manufacturing projects, operational improvement initiatives, and data-driven performance management activities at the Australia Manufacturing site.
The role partners with Production, Manufacturing Engineering, Quality, Supply Chain, Maintenance, and other stakeholders to improve manufacturing performance, support NPI and process transfer activities, and deliver measurable improvements in safety, quality, delivery, cost, and productivity.
This position combines structured project execution, manufacturing process knowledge, and data analysis capability within a regulated manufacturing environment. What You’ll Be Responsible For: Safety, Quality & Compliance Practice and adhere to site safety rules and H&S requirements.
Ensure project activities comply with GMP, quality system, regulatory, and site procedures. Support change control, validation, and documentation activities related to manufacturing changes. Project Execution Lead or support manufacturing projects aligned to site priorities.
Develop and maintain project plans, timelines, action registers, and deliverables. Monitor project risks, issues, and dependencies, escalating as required. Facilitate communication between shopfloor teams, technical functions, and site stakeholders.
Prepare and present project updates, reports, and documentation. Manufacturing Improvement Support NPI, product transfers, equipment implementation, and process changes into manufacturing. Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on yield, throughput, cost, downtime, scrap, and waste reduction.
Partner with Production, Manufacturing Engineering, Quality, Supply Chain, and Maintenance to deliver timely project outcomes. Data Analysis & Insights Collect, analyse, and interpret manufacturing and operational data (e.g., yield, scrap, cycle time, downtime).
Develop and maintain dashboards and reports to track project and operational performance. Use data to identify trends, root causes, and improvement opportunities. Support decision-making through data-driven insights and recommendations. Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and alignment with reporting standards.
Let's talk about Qualifications and Experience: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Data Analytics, or related discipline Typically 2–5 years’ experience in manufacturing, engineering, operations, or project roles Experience in a production or plant-based environment preferred Exposure to regulated industries (e.g., medical devices) advantageous Experience with data analysis tools (e.g., Excel, Power BI, Tableau, Minitab, or similar) Familiarity with project management tools and manufacturing systems Let's talk about Skills and Competencies Working knowledge of manufacturing processes and operations Understanding of project management fundamentals (scope, schedule, risk) Ability to analyse moderately complex datasets and translate into actionable insights Strong problem-solving and root cause analysis skills Effective cross-functional collaboration and communication Ability to manage multiple priorities in a production environment Continuous improvement mindset (Lean / Six Sigma exposure preferred) Joining us is more than saying “yes” to making the world a healthier place.
