The Syndicate Associate supports the distribution and execution of syndicate products within the advisor and digital-direct channels.

Products include equity offerings, fixed-income securities, and municipal bonds. This position reports directly to the Head of Capital Markets Syndicate. The primary responsibility is to support the Manager of Syndicate Distribution in all aspects of the function, including deal setup and execution, field support, correspondence and communications, distribution analysis, and the maintenance of documentation and media.

Candidates should have a strong understanding of global financial markets, including fixed income, equities, and structured products. The fast-paced, high-intensity environment requires the ability to analyze and interpret complex information from multiple sources in a timely manner.

Responsibilities Manage all aspects of the marketing, distribution, and execution of equity and fixed-income offerings, excluding municipal securities, for MSWM’s retail network of financial advisors. Support product offerings including equities, preferred securities, corporate bonds, closed-end funds, and medium-term notes, among others.

Perform project management and business optimization; interface with senior management; ensure efficient and accurate deal marketing, setup, and execution; and support compliance, risk, and regulatory management. Contribute to the development and enhancement of product-line distribution.

Qualifications Bachelor’s degree. Understanding of the financial services industry and global capital markets. Strong analytical skills, including the ability to review companies and offerings for retail distribution. Strong oral and written communication and presentation skills.

Team-oriented professional with strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work with professionals at various levels of management. Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet assigned deadlines. High energy and the ability to work effectively in a cross-functional environment with multiple concurrent challenges.

Management experience, with the ability to lead by example, remove obstacles affecting staff, foster positive morale, maintain an open-door and direct-communication approach, and delegate effectively. However, base pay if hired will be determined on an individualized basis and is only part of the total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, incentive compensation, discretionary bonuses, other short and long-term incentive packages, and other Morgan Stanley sponsored benefit programs.
