Job Summary State Street Investment Management ("State Street IM") is seeking an Architecture Project Manager to lead the planning, coordination, and execution of strategic architecture initiatives across the Technology & Business Architecture organization.

Operating within the Architecture & Engineering Governance function, this role is responsible for driving architecture-related projects, transformation programs, governance initiatives, and operating model improvements that advance the firm's technology strategy.

The role serves as a key execution partner to Architecture leadership, ensuring that architecture priorities, transformation objectives, technology investments, and governance outcomes are translated into actionable plans, measurable deliverables, and successful business outcomes.

Reporting to the Head of Architecture & Engineering Governance, this position combines project leadership, architecture portfolio management, executive reporting, governance coordination, vendor oversight, and stakeholder engagement to ensure architecture initiatives are delivered effectively across Business Architecture, Solution Architecture, Platform Engineering, and Technology Operations & Resilience.

Key Responsibilities Architecture Project Delivery Lead architecture-related projects and strategic initiatives from planning through execution, ensuring alignment with business objectives and technology strategy. Coordinate cross-functional delivery efforts involving Business Architecture, Solution Architecture, Platform Engineering, Technology Operations & Resilience, Engineering, Risk, and external partners.

Drive project planning, milestone management, dependency tracking, resource coordination, and issue resolution across architecture workstreams. Support delivery of architecture modernization, platform adoption, cloud transformation, AI-enabled SDLC, operating model, and technology simplification initiatives.

Architecture Portfolio & Transformation Management Maintain visibility across the architecture project portfolio, tracking progress, risks, dependencies, milestones, resource allocation, and strategic outcomes. Support architecture leadership in prioritization, sequencing, and execution of transformation initiatives.

Develop portfolio-level reporting and dashboards to communicate progress, delivery health, risks, investment requirements, and business value realization. Identify opportunities to improve project execution, operating effectiveness, and delivery governance across the architecture organization.

Executive Reporting & Communications Prepare executive-ready materials, status reports, dashboards, and presentations for architecture leadership, governance committees, and senior management. Communicate project progress, key decisions, risks, dependencies, and investment priorities in a concise and actionable manner.

Support strategic planning, annual objectives, budget planning, and architecture organizational initiatives. Risk, Controls & Regulatory Readiness Support architecture-related audit, risk, compliance, and remediation initiatives. Monitor project risks, control obligations, governance commitments, and regulatory deliverables.

Ensure architecture projects maintain appropriate documentation, decision records, approvals, and audit-ready evidence. Required Qualifications 10+ years of experience in technology project management, architecture program delivery, or technology transformation.

Experience managing complex, cross-functional technology initiatives within financial services or other highly regulated environments. Strong understanding of enterprise architecture, solution architecture, technology governance, and software delivery practices.

Proven ability to manage large-scale technology projects involving multiple stakeholders, vendors, budgets, and delivery teams. Strong executive communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills. Demonstrated ability to drive execution in a matrixed organization.

Preferred Qualifications Experience working within Enterprise Architecture, Technology Architecture, or Architecture Governance organizations. Experience supporting cloud migration, platform modernization, AI-enabled software delivery, or operating model transformation initiatives.

Familiarity with architecture governance processes, reference architectures, architecture review boards, and technology standards. Experience managing technology vendors, consulting engagements, and architecture budgets. PMP, PgMP, SAFe, Scrum Master, or related project management certification preferred.

What Success Looks Like Strategic architecture initiatives delivered on time and with measurable business outcomes. Improved execution discipline across architecture programs and transformation portfolios. Clear visibility into architecture investments, priorities, milestones, risks, and dependencies.

Effective coordination across Business Architecture, Solution Architecture, Platform Engineering, Technology Operations & Resilience, and governance stakeholders. Strong linkage between architecture strategy, governance decisions, and successful execution.

Salary Range: $120,000 - $202,500 Annual The range quoted above applies to the role in the primary location specified. If the candidate would ultimately work outside of the primary location above, the applicable range could differ.
