Key Responsibilities

  • Establishing strong business partnerships with business stakeholders to provide comprehensive financial support.
  • Leading planning and month-end close cycles for the respective functional areas, ensuring accuracy and streamlined processes.
  • Managing the delivery of accurate and timely management reporting including functional expenses and resource reporting.
  • Driving the development of meaningful financial insights and creating effective presentations to communicate conclusions and recommendations to senior leadership.
  • Conducting financial and resource modeling to support tactical and strategic decision making (e.g., business case development, cost analysis, and sensitivity analysis).
  • Driving the development and implementation of key process improvement initiatives including proactively engaging with Finance colleagues and business partners.
  • Providing advice and training to business partners on improvements to budget management.
  • Leading, executing, or supporting various ad hoc projects/initiatives within Finance and business network.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree and Eight Years' Experience OR Masters' Degree and Six Years' Experience Preferred Qualifications: 8+ years of relevant experience in FP&A, having held positions of increasing scope and responsibility. Experience with Month-End Close activities and Management Reporting (e.g., Journal Entry Preparation, Analysis, Commentary, Budget-vs-Actuals Reporting). Experience in Financial Planning (e.g., Budgeting / Forecasting) processes across Operating Expenses (OPEX), Headcount (HC) management and a grasp of forecasting methods and techniques. Advanced proficiency in AI-based tools, Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint with familiarity of SAP, SAC-P
  • Analysis for Office a plus.BS/BA is required, MBA or CPA is a plus. Experience in R&D Finance, biotech
  • pharmaceuticals industry a plus, but not required. People Leader Accountabilities :

Gilead considers a variety of factors when determining base compensation, including experience, qualifications, and geographic location. These considerations mean actual compensation will vary. This position may also be eligible for a discretionary annual bonus, discretionary stock-based long-term incentives (eligibility may vary based on role), paid time off, and a benefits package.
