Journeyman Scientist and Science Technician (Group 4)

Responsibilities

• Apply established data science methodologies to mission-critical requirements in support of Army M&S programs Fine-tune existing predictive models to improve accuracy for specific mission sets, such as predictive maintenance for fleet readiness Acquire, process
• interpret structured and unstructured datasets to extract actionable insights Develop custom analytical pipelines and tools to support M&S and AI systems Collaborate with engineering teams to ensure data integrity for complex simulations Support the full data lifecycle including data collection, analysis, visualization
• reporting Participate in the development of data-driven solutions for simulation analysis workflows Work with DoD M&S environments and toolsets to translate data into meaningful analytical conclusions Support 24/7 operations during exercises and events as required Maintain documentation and provide technical reports IAW contract requirements Qualifications Required: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics
• related field Minimum Experience: 3 years 5 years relevant experience in lieu of degree Active Secret clearance Desired: Master's degree highly valued Experience with DoD Modeling & Simulation environments (e.g., JLVC, JTLS-GO, OneSAF, WARSIM) Familiarity with military operations, exercises
• DoD mission sets Experience with machine learning frameworks and AI analysis workflows Knowledge of big data platforms and cloud computing architectures Experience supporting Army or Joint training exercises Understanding of DoD cybersecurity policies and procedures - What You Can Expect: A culture of integrity.
