Lead Material Handler Monday-Friday | 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM Mandatory Overtime as Required About the Role McKesson is seeking a Lead Material Handler to support daily warehouse operations within our distribution center. In this hands-on leadership role, you will coordinate workflow, support inventory accuracy, train team members, and help ensure products are received, stored, and shipped safely and efficiently.
This position works alongside warehouse associates while serving as a subject matter expert and resource for the team to drive productivity, quality, and operational excellence. What You'll Do (Responsibilities) Coordinate daily activities and provide guidance to warehouse team members to support productivity, quality, and safety goals.
Operate material handling equipment including forklifts, reach trucks, and pallet jacks to move, store, and retrieve inventory. Support receiving, put-away, picking, packing, shipping, and order fulfillment activities. Monitor inventory accuracy through cycle counts, investigations, and inventory control processes.
Train and mentor new and existing employees on warehouse procedures, equipment operation, and safety practices. Troubleshoot operational issues and help resolve inventory, fulfillment, or workflow challenges. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe distribution center environment while complying with all company policies and regulatory requirements.
Basic Requirements Typically requires 5+ years of related experience Experience performing inventory control, order fulfillment, shipping, receiving, or warehouse operations activities. Ability to use warehouse management systems (WMS), RF scanners, and basic computer applications.
Preferred Skills/Experience Experience serving as a lead, trainer, mentor, or informal team leader in a warehouse environment. Forklift, reach truck, or powered industrial equipment certification. Experience supporting productivity, quality, and safety initiatives within a distribution center.
Strong problem-solving and inventory reconciliation skills. Knowledge of warehouse KPIs, workflow coordination, and process improvement. Strong communication and teamwork abilities in a fast-paced environment. Physical Requirements On-site position within a fast-paced warehouse/distribution center environment.
Mandatory overtime required based on business needs. Frequent standing, walking, bending, reaching, and lifting throughout the shift. Ability to safely operate warehouse equipment and work in varying warehouse conditions. Ability to lift, move, and handle materials weighing up to 50 lbs.

The pay range shown below is aligned with McKesson's pay philosophy, and pay will always be compliant with any applicable regulations. In addition to base pay, other compensation, such as an annual bonus or long-term incentive opportunities may be offered.
