Are you looking for an exciting new challenge and want to be a part of an industry leading, dynamic team? The Protect Liability Specialist role is to investigate, evaluate, negotiate, and settle claims in accordance with Aviva's procedures and philosophy.

What you’ll do Interpret and confirm insurance coverages Investigate, evaluate, and settle Casualty claims with claimants or their representatives Direct and manage file investigations and if required instruct IAs as needed Ensure file reserves are timely and accurate Proactively manage communication with our customers and stakeholders Clearly document and summarize file activity Understand and support Aviva’s claim procedures and guidelines Regular and proactive reviews files strategy plans What you’ll bring University degree or equivalent CIP or working towards CIP.

Currently licensed or qualifies to be licensed to handle Casualty Claims in all Atlantic Provinces Experience with Property Damage Liability claims Strong working knowledge of litigation environment (Litigation Assistant, Para-legal) Bilingual French and English is a strong asset Ability to work independently and effectively in a fast-paced environment Strong working knowledge of Personal and Commercial liability claims Exceptional written and oral communication skills Well-developed organizational skills Adaptability, flexibility and integrity Committed team player with a positive outlook and sense of humor What you’ll get Please note that individual salary is determined by factors such as job-related knowledge, skills and experience, as well as internal equity.
