- optimize data models and end-to-end data pipelines across APM's publisher data, leveraging AWS services (such as Redshift, EMR, Airflow, Kinesis, Lambda) and internal Amazon tools Drive architectural decisions for data solutions within a unified modeling framework that serves both human analysts and AI-powered analytics agents, balancing short-term delivery with long-term scalability Define and implement data quality standards across the datasets you own by building automated monitoring, investigating anomalies
- driving root-cause resolution with minimal guidance Partner with business stakeholders to deeply understand their decision-making needs, translating ambiguous requirements into trusted, well-modeled data products Lead the design of next-generation APM data architecture to improve scale, quality, timeliness, coverage, monitoring

- system design principles A day in the life As a Data Engineer on our team, you'll focus on architecting and maintaining the data pipelines and models that support our publisher monetization platform. You might spend your morning collaborating with analytics and business intelligence teams to understand evolving data requirements, then transition into designing schema improvements or optimizing query performance for our data warehouse. You'll work alongside software engineers to integrate new data sources, partner with product teams to validate data quality
- participate in design reviews where you'll help shape how we approach complex data challenges. Your work directly impacts the reliability of insights that business teams depend on to make strategic decisions about advertising inventory and publisher partnerships. - Bachelor's degree - 4+ years of data engineering experience - 2+ years of developing and operating large-scale data structures for business intelligence analytics using ETL/ELT processes experience - 2+ years of developing and operating large-scale data structures for business intelligence analytics using data modeling experience - 1+ years of developing and operating large-scale data structures for business intelligence analytics using SQL experience - Experience programming with at least one modern language such as C++, C#, Java, Python, Golang, PowerShell, Ruby - Experience with data modeling, warehousing and building ETL pipelines - Experience building/operating highly available, distributed systems of data extraction, ingestion
- processing of large data sets - Experience working on and delivering end to end projects independently - Knowledge of professional software engineering & best practices for full software development life cycle, including coding standards, software architectures, code reviews, source control management, continuous deployments, testing
