About the Role We're looking for an SDM to own and grow one of our Promotions and Deals Frontend teams. You'll lead a team of ~8-10 SDEs building systems that process billions of pricing and promotions signals daily, powering the deal and coupon experiences customers see across Amazon's retail surfaces
What You'll Do
- Own the technical roadmap, delivery
- operational excellence for your team's services - Drive Prime Day and peak-event readiness — your systems are on the critical path for every major sale event - Partner with senior engineers to reduce latency, improve scalability

- retention for your team - Collaborate cross-functionally with Retail Pricing, Deals, Coupons
- CX teams to align on platform strategy - Reduce operational toil through automation, better tooling

- 3+ years of engineering team management experience - 7+ years of working directly within engineering teams experience - 3+ years of designing or architecting (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience - 8+ years of leading the definition and development of multi tier web services experience - Knowledge of engineering practices and patterns for the full software/hardware/networks development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, certification
- livesite operations - Experience partnering with product or program management teams
- Experience in communicating with users, other technical teams
- senior leadership to collect requirements, describe software product features, technical designs

As a total compensation company, Amazon's package may include other elements such as sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications
