Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or related field, or equivalent experience. MBA or relevant advanced degree preferred. Demonstrated ownership of large, multi-million dollar budgets or portfolios, with a track record of managing costs, forecasting, and driving financial accountability.
Experience building or scaling operational processes, tools, and reporting structures for a growing team or organization. Proven ability to operate in a fast-paced, ambiguous, high-growth environment, handling multiple concurrent priorities with grace.
Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to distill complex, cross-functional information into clear executive-ready narratives and reporting. A master collaborator who can influence without authority, build trust quickly, and align diverse collaborators around a shared plan.
Ways to stand out from the crowd: Prior experience in an events, field marketing, or brand organization, with an understanding of event lifecycle, production, and vendor ecosystems. Background as a business operations lead, program manager, or chief of staff supporting a senior marketing or events executive.
Experience standing up budget tracking systems, event tech stacks, or operational playbooks from scratch, and evaluating/consolidating tools to reduce redundancy and cost. An obsession with operational build — someone who sees process as a way to free up the team's creativity and speed, not slow it down.
