Position Summary: The Business Execution Financial Governance Lead requires a comprehensive understanding of financial management, expense oversight, and strategic resource planning within a technology organization. This role applies an in-depth understanding of financial processes, controls, and reporting to achieve the objectives of the Wealth Technology organization.
Strong commercial awareness and excellent communication skills are essential to negotiate internally at senior levels and manage cross-functional relationships. The incumbent will be accountable for optimizing financial performance, ensuring robust governance, and driving strategic initiatives within the expense management domain
Responsibilities
- Financial Planning & Forecasting : Develop and integrate comprehensive expense outlooks (Direct Staff, Non-Direct Staff, Software, Travel & Entertainment) into internal resource management systems and corporate financial reporting, proactively explaining variances.
- Establish & manage expense targets for Senior Management Team Targets and guide them on budget approvals.
- Collaborate with internal teams to control initiatives impacting financials, highlighting all variable risks and opportunities in advance.
- Accrual Management: Oversee and manage Non-Direct Staff & Software accruals, ensuring accurate mapping, timely invoice payment, and assessment against expected invoices to prevent discrepancies.
- Financial Governance & Project Expense Reflection: Ensure all expenses are accurately reflected in the project time tracking system by correctly linking Fixed Price Contracts (FPC) & Software (SW)
- verify accurate time booking and forecasting for Direct Staff & Non-Direct Staff resources, aligning project rates with current expenses and financial controls.
- Project/Portfolio Financials: Report on Investment Request (IR) Utilization performance and forecast FPC & Time booking for Direct Staff & Non-Direct Staff resources within the project time tracking system, aligning with strategic portfolio objectives.
- Managed Segment/GOC Maintenance: Manage and update Managed Segment Hierarchy based on organizational structure changes
- maintain Global Organization Codes (GOCs) and associated resources, FPC, & SW Statements of Work (SOWs) for accurate financial attribution.
- Balance Sheet & Capital Management: Develop Capital Credit outlook (from Project Portfolio Management - BOW), create Amortization outlook (from Fixed Asset Register - FAR assets)
- analyze Impairment & Re-life impacts.
- Strategic Financial Oversight: Provide comprehensive financial planning and control, including WIP/FAR oversight and variance analysis, and coordination of Functional & Headcount transfers.
- Manage broader expense, CMP, and Fieldglass approvals, Investment Council justifications, and productivity planning/cap justifications.
- Renault Data Management: Take full ownership of Green $ and all entries in Renault (an internal financial system), ensuring data accuracy, reconciliation with the project time tracking system
- managing risks/opportunities within the budget process.
- Client Financial Management: Manage client allocations, Total Cost of Ownership (TCO)/client reporting, provide content for monthly/quarterly client updates
- conduct Book of Work reviews with product/function tech leads
Qualifications
- 15+ years experience in financial management, expense control, and operational areas within a large enterprise, preferably in technology.
- Demonstrated experience in managing complex financial processes, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting.
- Proven ability to manage limited resources effectively to achieve outstanding results.
- Action-oriented, entrepreneurial, flexible, and innovative approach to financial and operational management.
- Excellent influencing, facilitation, and partnering skills with key stakeholders and Senior Management.
- Strategic and goal-oriented thinker with strong analytical capabilities.
- Consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication; a persuasive and passionate communicator.
- Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively.
- Education: Bachelor’s/University degree required.
- Master’s degree preferred.
