Position Summary The Senior Manager – Technology Strategy & Operations plays a key role in helping the organization shape and deliver on its technology and cybersecurity priorities, with an initial focus on infrastructure technologies.

This role works closely with cross‑functional teams to turn business goals into actionable plans while ensuring those plans are executed effectively. As a central point of coordination across engineering, product, and corporate functions, this position brings alignment, structure, and momentum to important initiatives.

At its core, this role is about turning strategy into tangible real-world results. The Senior Manager helps teams stay focused and accountable by tracking progress, identifying risks early, and keeping initiatives moving forward. The role also brings insight into the broader technology landscape, helping leaders make informed decisions about priorities and investments.

Through strong communication, practical problem solving, and strong executive communication, this position helps the organization continue to strengthen and scale its technology capabilities

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the leadership team and key stakeholders to develop a comprehensive multi-year view of our technology & cybersecurity strategy, ensuring it aligns with our Business Unit strategies and financial investments.
  • Drive strategy alignment across multiple disciplines, planning and execution rhythm and operational excellence in collaboration with other Strategy & Ops leads, chief-of-staff team and cross-functional product, engineering and operations teams and other internal planning functions e.g.
  • Finance, Procurement, HR etc.
  • Actively monitor the progress and implementation of the strategic initiatives, setting key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to measure progress and holding teams accountable for achieving the desired results.
  • Manage and coordinate the work performed by external strategy advisories to ensure alignment with organizational priorities and deliverables.
  • Identify gaps and drive resolution of cross-functional execution across the strategy spectrum.
  • Build and communicate senior executive presentations, communications, and definition documents.
  • Research, analyze, and articulate the competitive and industry landscape for technology on an ongoing basis.
  • Stay engaged with the general technology market, vendors, and partners to ensure that strategic plans are relevant, represent smart investments and are aligned with the service needs of the business.
  • Required Qualifications 7+ years of experience in Technology Strategy, Business Operations or Management Consulting, and/or Product Management. 3+ years of experience with specific expertise in Technology Strategy Development and Execution. 3+ years of experience driving organizational change, e.g., leading strategic initiatives, products, services.
  • Preferred Qualifications Highly effective communication skills, both verbal and written, and influential relationship building across various levels of leadership, internal and external stakeholders.
  • Skilled at executive story-telling.
  • Possess the ability to aggregate information from multiple sources and uncover insights to help guide leaders in strategy development.
  • Deep understanding of technology concepts as they relate to large enterprises.
  • Previous IT/high-tech experience is highly valuable alongside a deep understanding of IT hardware/software/services markets, trends.
  • Must be quantitatively oriented leading with numbers, facts and data sets and have a qualitative lens to identifying the drivers.
  • Highly proficient with the Microsoft Office Suite of tools (PowerPoint, Word, Excel, etc.) Exhibit creativity in the use of AI to help solve complex tasks.
  • Ability to structure recommendations and build compelling narratives.
  • Strong Program/ Project Management skills.
  • Highly organized, detail and outcome oriented.
  • Self-starter with the ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
  • Ability to cut through ambiguity while breaking down large complex problems into simple solution components across multiple workstreams.
  • Ability to quickly understand a complex enterprise function in a highly matrixed organization.
  • A passion for continuous learning and innovation.
  • Education Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience (High School Diploma and 4 years relevant experience) Pay Range The typical pay range for this role is: $106,605.00 - $213,210.00 This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls.
  • The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors.
  • This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above.
  • This position also includes an award target in the company’s equity award program.
