Information Protection Advisor - Hybrid

Join our Investigative Data Services (IDS) team and play a critical role in supporting investigations, legal matters, and enterprise security through advanced data protection and digital forensics.
In this role, you will partner across Legal, HR, Information Security, and Corporate Security to preserve, collect, and analyze data. Your work will directly support investigations and legal matters while ensuring all processes are defensible, compliant, and handled with the highest level of professionalism.
Responsibilities Lead electronic data preservation, collection, and forensic analysis to support investigations, legal requests, and enterprise risk management Deliver legally defensible data collections (e.g., full disk imaging, targeted collections) with strong attention to accuracy and chain of custody Analyze structured and unstructured data to identify relevant insights that support investigative outcomes and business decisions Partner closely with Legal, HR, Information Security, and Corporate Security to respond to discovery requests, subpoenas, and internal investigations Work across multiple data sources including email, messaging platforms, cloud storage (O365, OneDrive, SharePoint), and security tools Use forensic and eDiscovery tools to process, reduce, and prepare data for internal review or external counsel Collaborate with outside counsel and vendors to support large-scale or complex data matters Translate complex technical findings into clear, actionable insights for non-technical stakeholders Continuously improve processes for data collection, analysis, and investigative workflows in a fast-paced environment Required Qualifications 3+ years of experience in digital forensics, eDiscovery, or investigative data services Hands-on experience with forensic and eDiscovery tools (e.g., FTK, Relativity, Clearwell, Microsoft Purview or similar) Strong understanding of Windows, Mac, and/or Linux operating systems Experience performing legally defensible data collections and forensic analysis Ability to identify and analyze hidden, deleted, or fragmented data (e.g., slack space, free space) Experience using PowerShell or similar scripting for data collection and analysis Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail and sound judgment Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, changing environment with shifting priorities Strong communication skills with the ability to explain technical topics to non-technical audiences Collaborative mindset with the ability to build trusted partnerships across teams Preferred Qualifications Experience supporting legal discovery, litigation, or regulatory investigations Familiarity with tools such as Veritas Alta, Cloudficient Expireon, Splunk, or ZScaler Knowledge of data privacy regulations and compliance requirements Relevant certifications (e.g., EnCE, GCFA, CCE, or similar forensic certifications) Experience working with external vendors and outside counsel If you will be working at home occasionally or permanently, the internet connection must be obtained through a cable broadband or fiber optic internet service provider with speeds of at least 10Mbps download/5Mbps upload.
