Within Amazon Transportation Services (ATS), the Carrier Services team plays a key role in supporting carrier partners who transport goods for Amazon. Our team guides carriers through the application process to become an Amazon partner and resolves account-related issues for existing carrier partners. This is an exciting opportunity to join a high-visibility team in one of the fastest growing programs in Amazon's transportation portfolio. We are seeking an analytical and results-driven professional with a background in transportation or logistics to join our team as a Carrier Procurement Account Support Specialist. In this role, you will primarily support the Amazon Freight Procurement team, owning carrier engagement across onboarding and active bid activities. You will manage complex cases, conduct outreach to carrier partners, and leverage data to drive informed decisions and propose engagement strategies that improve procurement outcomes. You will also contribute to process improvements that raise the quality and efficiency of the team's outputs. As business needs evolve, you may have the opportunity to support other procurement teams within Carrier Services, broadening your exposure across the organization. The ideal candidate exercises sound judgment in ambiguous situations, communicates clearly with internal and external stakeholders, and takes ownership of outcomes rather than just tasks. Key job responsibilities - Manage carrier procurement engagement from initial outreach through bid submission, ensuring all steps in the solicitation process are completed accurately and on time - Lead direct outreach to carrier partners to drive bid participation, clarify procurement requirements, and resolve barriers to engagement
  • document outcomes and communicate findings to internal stakeholders - Track bid status and carrier engagement across multiple procurement campaigns, maintaining accurate documentation and providing timely updates to procurement leadership - Manage a high-volume carrier portfolio across concurrent procurement campaigns, making trade-offs between time and resources with limited oversight to meet sourcing deadlines - Leverage data from multiple sources to evaluate carrier capacity, market trends, and bid performance
  • surface insights and present recommendations that inform procurement strategy and award decisions - Propose and iterate on carrier engagement strategies to improve bid participation and conversion rates, adjusting approach based on data and observed carrier behavior - Escalate procurement blockers and carrier engagement risks with clear context and a recommended resolution path
  • propose alternative approaches when standard methods are not producing results - Support the onboarding and development of new team members by sharing knowledge of processes, systems, and best practices
  • High school or equivalent diploma - Knowledge of Excel at an intermediate level (e.g., pivot tables & charts, multiple criteria lookups, nested logical/IF formulas, data cleansing, array formulas, etc.) - Experience managing large data sets and utilizing to drive performance and process improvements
  • 1+ years of program management, logistics, operations, supply chain, transportation
