  • firmware. You will work in a collaborative environment with a multi-disciplinary team including electrical hardware, antenna, simulation, silicon, algorithm, firmware
  • software engineers. Key job responsibilities In this role, your responsibilities include:
  • Develop the CT architecture by working closely with sub-system engineers in electrical, RF, antenna, thermal, modem, DSP, ASIC, algorithm, firmware, modeling, and software
  • Develop the validation plans, build the validation infrastructure, execute testing, analyze data, and report the results to the stakeholders
  • Investigate and resolve validation failures by leading cross-functional teams
  • Ensure the delivered work meets technical, functional, performance, regulatory, and business requirements
  • Perform in-field and on-orbit validation with satellites
  • Travel up to 10% of the time, depending on project phases Export Control Requirement: Due to applicable export control laws and regulations, candidates must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (i.e., current Green Card holder)

About the team The Leo Customer Terminal team is responsible for developing both outdoor & indoor devices, enabling customers internet service via the Leo satellite network. We own the entire process from early prototypes through mass production including requirements documents, architecture definition, hardware development
  • all integration/verification testing.
  • Experience leading the design, automation, deployment
  • support of large-scale infrastructure - Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, computer engineering, computer science, physics
  • other relevant engineering discipline - 5+ years of satellite terminal development, integration
  • validation experience - 3+ years of hardware design and validation of components and subsystems experience - Strong understanding of communication systems, RF
  • phased array antenna - Experience in MATLAB, Python or C++ - Familiarity with test instruments such as oscilloscope, spectrum analyzers, vector signal analyzers, vector signal generators, channel emulators, network emulators
  • GNSS emulators - Experience in developing complex telecommunication, antenna, and/or satellite communication systems - Experience in developing mobility terminals
  • Master’s or PhD degree in Electrical/Computer Engineering or other relevant engineering discipline - Knowledge of digital communication systems, error correction, synchronization, spread spectrum, single and multi-carrier techniques
  • modulation types such as QPSK, APSK
  • QAM - Experience working with mobility satellite terminals such as maritime, aeronautical
  • automotive - Understanding of free space communication and satellite link budget principles in Ka-band - Experience in developing simulation and modeling tools - Familiarity with active and passive RF components, EE hardware, beamforming circuits
