- financial performance across Amazon's US Non-Sort fulfillment network. This team serves as the analytical backbone for labor-related financial decisions — translating complex workforce data into actionable insights that drive cost efficiency and workforce effectiveness at scale. You will partner directly with Labor Strategy, Operations
- HR leadership to build and own the financial models that underpin headcount planning, labor rate analysis, tenure mix management
- productivity benchmarking. You will play a key role in annual operating plan development, ongoing variance analysis
- the design of scalable mechanisms that improve labor economics across the network. This is a high-visibility role for a finance professional who wants to influence strategic workforce decisions at one of the world's largest employers. Success in Role You know your business and identify opportunities to decrease cost and/or improve customer and employee experience. You leverage appropriate resources to deep dive and make recommendations and influence leaders. You formulate how to deliver improvements and execute at scale. Key job responsibilities Use solid financial knowledge and business acumen to build financial models and analyses with limited guidance, draw conclusions
- make recommendations that deliver results and drive improvements. Independently align financial and operational analyses with your business partners, challenging business partner assumptions when necessary. Provide analysis and recommendations to business leaders to support operational and growth business decisions and action plans. Proactively identify opportunities to resolve finance defects and improve, automate, standardize
- simplify finance or business tools and processes across teams and organizations. Intuitively utilize active listening skills to communicate data (both written and verbal) in a clear, concise
- unambiguous manner, adjusting your style based on audience, to articulate complex finance issues.
- 5+ years of tax, finance or a related analytical field experience - 5+ years of leading cross-functional initiatives that drive financial performance and strategy experience
- 6+ years of identifying incomplete or inaccurate data, identifying the root cause and creating/implementing an escalation plan experience - 6+ years of solving complex business challenges by delivering accurate and timely financial models, analysis
- recommendations that have a proven impact on business (e.g., financial savings, operational improvements
- customer benefits) experience - MBA
- CPA - Experience working with large-scale data mining and reporting tools (examples: SQL, MS Access, Essbase, Cognos) and other financial systems (examples: Oracle, SAP, Lawson, JD Edwards) - Experience delivering forecasting, budgeting
