Job Details : We’re looking for a talented and collaborative ethics and compliance professional with significant investigations, public sector ethics and enablement experience in high-risk regions to join our Office of Global Ethics & Integrity as a Director/ Senior Corporate Counsel.
The ideal candidate should be willing to take on new challenges and grow our regional presence. This member will join the Global Ethics & Integrity team in one of our India offices handling ethics for operations in India and in the broader JAPAC region and will otherwise collaborate with the regional and global teams.
This role requires an office presence 3 days per week and international travel may be required. Responsibilities with oversight from the Regional Head of Global Ethics & Integrity: Conduct internal investigations of non-HR Code of Conduct matters across the JAPAC region (and other regions as needed) Build trusted relationships with key stakeholders and regional leaders Advise internal business partners on ethics-related issues Prepare and lead enablement sessions on policies and topics owned by Global Ethics & Integrity Perform regional policy and program gap analyses; develop and manage resulting action plans Enhance anti-bribery, anti-corruption, anti-fraud, global trade, public sector ethics, and political law programs Identify and review potential conflicts of interest between Salesforce and external parties Review gift and entertainment submissions for compliance with internal policy and applicable law Support global investigations, trainings, and policy rollouts as needed Manage outside counsel work and billing across a variety of matters Drive operational efficiency through risk-based scaling Partner cross-functionally with sales, alliances, business technology, and operational teams Help identify and mitigate compliance risks, enhance monitoring efforts, and foster a culture of compliance Required Skills / Experience Substantial experience as a qualified solicitor, lawyer, controller, compliance official, or auditor with an ethics and compliance focus (anti-corruption preferred) Deep knowledge of the FCPA, UK Bribery Act, and anti-corruption laws in JAPAC (including India's Prevention of Corruption Act) Experience conducting internal investigations and supervising outside counsel Expertise in e-discovery, including platform familiarity, search design, review, and QC Familiarity with regional privacy and whistleblower requirements and best practices Knowledge of government procurement vehicles and processes in the region (preferred) Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills, including presenting to senior executives and drafting legal advice Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously — independently and as part of a global team — in a fast-paced environment Proactive, deadline-driven mindset with the ability to work well under pressure Experience developing compliance training and working cross-culturally in an international setting English required; additional languages a plus At Salesforce we believe that the business of business is to improve the state of our world.
