Cigna, a leading Health Services company, is looking for an exceptional Back end and API engineer in our Provider Engineering organization. This position is responsible for the delivery of a business need starting from understanding the requirements to deploying the software into production.

This role requires you to be fluent in some of the critical technologies with proficiency in others, with a very strong analytical aptitude and have a hunger to learn on the job, understand data and add value to the business. We’re looking for a Software Engineering Analyst who will be responsible to accelerate us on embedded solution(UI/API & LLM) journey. The journey requires building foundational capabilities/patterns and enabling teams from a design, technical architecture and selecting LLM/cloud services wisely.

This role requires proved technology excellence with strong hands-on digital experience. We are seeking a skilled and passionate Agentic AI Developer with 3–6 years of experience to join our team. This role is ideal for professionals who bring a fresh foundation in full stack development and have evolved into AI/ML, GenAI, and Agentic AI domains.

You will be instrumental in developing and deploying intelligent systems that leverage Large Language Models (LLMs) and agentic architectures to solve complex business problems. Responsibilities Gathers and analyzes test software requirements for various applications within the organization.

Understands a program’s architecture/design, logical and physical data models. Design and Develop applications built in Python/C# Good exposure on AI Concepts/Models (LLM) Support other product delivery partners in the successful build, test, and release of solutions Ability to work on projects independently with minimal or no oversight required.

Examine and discover methods to improve the accuracy, effectiveness, and dependability of data quality and support. Support the full software lifecycle of design, development, testing, and support for technical delivery Works with both (Scrum Master, Product, QA and Developers) and QA team members in properly defining testable scenarios based on requirements/acceptance criteria.

Be part of a fast-moving team, working with the latest tools and open-source technologies Work on a development team using agile methodologies. Understand the Business and the Application Architecture End to End Solve problems by crafting software solutions using maintainable and modular code Participate in daily team standup meetings where you'll give and receive updates on the current backlog and challenges.

Qualifications Required Skills: Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology or Computer Science or Engineering or related course work 3 - 6 years of experience in programming, API development and UI development. We need a very clear understanding & be able to explain how would we develop sample cases.

Basic hands on experience working in database environments like, Oracle, SQL, MongoDB etc Basic exposure in using IDE like Visual Studio Code, VS Code Etc Good hands on experience in Python, C#. We need some passionate young developers to work on key initiatives which are aimed at accuracy & efficiency.

Design, fine-tune, and deploy LLMs for enterprise use cases. Integrate LLMs with legacy systems and modern cloud-native applications. Develop and optimize ML models for classification, prediction, and recommendation tasks. Collaborate with data scientists to operationalize models in production environments.

Contribute to front-end and back-end development using Vue.js, Node.js, C#, and .NET Core. Work with AWS services for scalable deployment of AI/ML solutions. Work closely with cross-functional teams including architects, product owners, and business stakeholders.

Stay current with advancements in GenAI, agentic frameworks, and cloud-native AI tooling. Required Experience & Education: Proven hands on experience with design, and development of large-scale enterprise application solutions. College degree (Bachelor) in related technical/business areas or equivalent work experience.

Beginner level experience in relational and NOSQL databases 3 - 6 years of experience in Software engineering Should be flexible in working with freshers and help them guide through the programme while they learn from senior resources in project.

Hands on experience in developing applications in Python, C# and machine learning concepts. Willing to learn, go above and beyond attitudes. Experience with modern and legacy development languages. Location & Hours of Work Full-time position, working 40 hours per week.
