Title: Senior Accountant Job Title Senior Accountant (SACT30) Division and/or Project Hook KBR’s Sustainable Technology Solutions (STS) division is looking for a Senior Accountant with strong FP&A expertise to support a critical business unit, driving budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, and strategic decision-making.
Summary Section We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical FP&A professional to support financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis. The role will partner with business leaders to provide financial insights, monitor key performance indicators, identify risks and opportunities, and support strategic decision-making.
The ideal candidate should have good understanding of financial modelling, reporting, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to translate financial data into actionable business recommendations
Responsibilities
- Support the monthly forecast, annual budget, and long-range planning processes.
- Prepare financial reports, variance analysis, and management presentations.
- Analyze financial performance and provide actionable insights to support business decisions.
- Partner with business stakeholders and functional teams to understand financial drivers and identify improvement opportunities.
- Monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Support month-end close activities from an FP&A perspective.
- Develop and maintain financial models to support planning and forecasting.
- Assist with ad hoc financial analysis and management requests.
- Drive process improvements and automation initiatives to enhance reporting efficiency.
- Ensure data accuracy and maintain strong financial controls.
- Preferred Qualifications Education, Experience, & Skills: Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field (CA/CA Inter/CMA/(Inter)/MBA Finance is an advantage).
- Relevant experience in FP&A, financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, or management reporting.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills; experience with Power BI, SAP, Oracle, Hyperion, or other planning/reporting tools is preferred.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
