Our location in Lake Forest, IL currently has an opportunity for a Finance Business Excellence Supervisor . This highly visible role serves as a catalyst for transforming US Commercial Finance operations through reporting simplification, process optimization, improved data accessibility, enhanced analytics, and technology-enabled business insights.
Reporting to the US Commercial Finance Director , this position partners closely with Finance, Commercial, Shared Services, and IT teams to identify opportunities for improvement and lead initiatives across financial planning, reporting, analytics, performance management, and business processes.
We are seeking a professional who combines strong financial acumen with process improvement expertise, analytical thinking, business intelligence capabilities, systems knowledge, and project leadership skills. The ideal candidate will have a passion for continuous improvement and a proven ability to drive measurable results through reporting automation, data analytics, process enhancements, and cross-functional collaboration.
Success in this role requires the ability to influence stakeholders, challenge existing processes, develop scalable reporting and analytics solutions, and deliver actionable insights that improve decision-making and business performance. WHAT YOU’LL DO Financial Planning & Performance Management Drive improvements in budgeting, forecasting, and long-range planning processes.
Enhance the accuracy, efficiency, and timeliness of financial reporting. Develop scalable performance management frameworks and key performance indicators (KPIs). Reporting & Analytics Excellence Redesign and simplify management reporting packages.
Develop self-service dashboards and reporting tools. Create a centralized source for financial and business analytics. Standardize metrics, reporting definitions, and data governance practices. Translate complex financial data into actionable business insights.
Finance Process Improvement Identify and implement automation opportunities to reduce manual reporting and improve productivity. Evaluate current workflows and drive process simplification initiatives. Improve data quality, efficiency, and reporting consistency.
Establish best practices for planning, reporting, and financial analysis. Data & Systems Management Maintain finance databases, reporting structures, and analytics platforms. Partner with IT and business stakeholders to implement system enhancements.
Improve the accessibility, integrity, and consistency of financial data. Champion digital finance transformation initiatives. Project Leadership Lead cross-functional initiatives across Finance, Commercial, IT, and Shared Services. Deliver process, reporting, analytics, and systems improvements that drive business value.
Business Partnership & Strategic Support Serve as a trusted advisor to finance and business leaders. Support decision-making through advanced analytics, forecasting, and scenario modeling. Identify key trends, risks, and opportunities impacting business performance.
Recommend data-driven actions that support strategic and operational objectives. Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, or related field. 7+ years of progressive experience in FP&A, finance, business analytics, finance transformation, or process improvement.
Experience leading reporting automation and business intelligence initiatives. Demonstrated success implementing process improvements and systems enhancements. Preferred Qualifications Strong verbal and written communication skills and ability to interact professionally with a diverse group of internal clients.
Wide ranging financial experience, including planning, controls and strategic planning and execution of those plans. Previous experience leading a team CPA or CMA certification MBA is the preferred education Lean Six Sigma experience Demonstrated ability to provide data and analysis to support decision making, methodical approach to problem solving and rational ideas supporting them, ability to keep learning and to teach others, traditional accounting knowledge and facilitator of management needs, streamlining functions within the department.
High proficiency in Microsoft office suite, primarily Microsoft Excel and Power Point. Proficiency in Excel Power BI, TMI, Cognos, HFM and SAP are a plus. Ability to operate independently with broad scope of responsibility under minimal supervision and under challenging time constraints.
Ability to facilitate interpretation and understanding of data, identify risks, develop recommendations and implement solutions.
