About The Role
The Senior Manager, Procurement Sustainability will lead GSK's global water stewardship agenda across the supply chain and play a critical role in delivering the company's Nature Positive and Water Neutrality ambitions. This role will drive the implementation of the 2027-2029 Global Water Strategy, partnering with procurement, supplier, and sustainability stakeholders to mitigate water-related risks, enhance supplier capability, and embed sustainability into procurement decision-making.
The successful candidate will combine expertise in sustainability, water stewardship, supply chain risk management, and stakeholder engagement to deliver measurable environmental impact across GSK's global supplier network
Key Responsibilities
- Global Water Strategy & Supplier Engagement Lead execution of GSK's Global Water Strategy (2027-2029) across the external supply base.
- Drive delivery of Water Neutrality targets, focusing on suppliers operating in high water-stress regions.
- Partner with Procurement Category Teams, Site Procurement Teams, and suppliers to implement water stewardship programs.
- Develop supplier capability-building initiatives, training programs, and performance frameworks aligned with sustainability KPIs.
- Collaborate with external sustainability organizations and industry partners to advance long-term water stewardship strategies.
- Risk Management & Governance: Own and continuously enhance the enterprise-wide Water Risk Management Program.
- Integrate water stewardship and sustainability controls into the Supplier Information Risk Management (SIRM) framework.
- Represent Procurement Sustainability in global governance forums and cross-functional leadership councils.
- Develop risk assessment methodologies utilizing leading water-risk tools and frameworks.
- Nature Positive Strategy: Contribute to delivery of GSK's Nature Positive commitments through supplier engagement and strategic partnerships.
- Drive collaboration with internal sustainability teams and external stakeholders to identify and execute environmental improvement opportunities.
- Data Analytics & Performance Monitoring Establish robust performance monitoring and reporting processes for water-related sustainability targets.
- Leverage analytics, AI, and digital tools to improve environmental insights and decision-making.
- Support quarterly and annual sustainability reporting aligned to corporate environmental commitments and Water Neutrality goals.
- Required Qualifications Education: Bachelor's or master’s degree in environmental science, Sustainability, Environmental Engineering, Supply Chain, Procurement, Chemical Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Experience 12 to 15 years of experience of overall professional experience 8+ years o progressive experience in Sustainability, ESG, Environmental Programs, Sustainable Procurement, Supply Chain Sustainability
- Environmental Risk Management.
- Experience delivering enterprise-wide sustainability or environmental programs in multinational organizations.
- Demonstrated experience managing complex stakeholder networks across global teams and suppliers.
- Technical Expertise Water Stewardship and Water Neutrality Programs.
- Water Risk Assessments and Mitigation Strategies.
- Sustainable Supply Chain and Procurement.
- Science Based Targets for Nature (SBTN).
- Water Risk Tools such as WWF Water Risk Filter and WRI Aqueduct.
- Sustainability data analytics and reporting.
- Preferred Qualifications Experience implementing sustainability strategies across APAC and other high water-stress regions.
- Knowledge of ESG reporting frameworks and environmental disclosure requirements.
- Experience using AI, digital platforms, and predictive analytics for sustainability programs.
- Strong change management and influencing skills in a global matrix organization.
- Experience presenting to senior leadership and governance forums.
