Senior Total Rewards Specialist

We’re looking for a Senior Total Rewards Specialist to be an expert in building financial models and preparing cost projections for the compensation, benefits, incentives and related Total Rewards function. You will act as a conduit between the Total Rewards, FP&A and Payroll teams in determining the financial impact analysis prior to successful implementation of the program.
You will be working closely with the broader Total Rewards team to conduct market research, and provide the business with data driven compensation recommendations. You will partner closely with the broader People team to support the implementation of TR programs across Hootsuite and execution of compensation events.
This position will report to the Director, Total Rewards
What You’ll Do
- Finalize projected costs versus budget for the TR programs. Interface with the FP&A and Payroll teams to communicate variances and obtain approval prior to implementation of TR program
- Prepare financial models for TR programs, including base and variable compensation for analysis and decision support
- Responsible for making ongoing improvements to internal processes, strengthening operational efficiency and making recommendations to mitigate any risk to the TR initiatives across Hootsuite.
- Consult and administer the annual compensation cycle(s), including developing procedures analyzing data, creating documentation and reports, and building communication tools to aid in compensation discussions.
- Collaborate with People Partner and the TR team to implement compensation events-annual merit, market adjustment, pay equity, promotion and progression processes.
- Partner with the Equity Compensation Specialist for any financial modeling for our long term incentive (LTI) plan and support in administration as needed.
- Prepares and presents summary reports of compensation analysis information.
- Be an integral part in developing the company's total rewards strategy by providing knowledgeable consultation, data analysis, and forecasting models.
- Build consultative and collaborative relationships with HR partners, business leaders and team members on compensation programs and initiatives.
- Monitor compensation program effectiveness to ensure alignment with business strategy and financial modeling, research standard methodologies and recommend enhancements/changes as appropriate.
- Own the administration and communication of our global vehicle program
- work closely with 3rd party vendors to allocate and manage vehicle roster & budgets. Make recommendations to improve efficiencies and employee experience
- Provide the business with compensation recommendations that are aligned with approved structures, taking internal equity and external market conditions into account
- Perform other related duties as assigned
- WHAT YOU’LL NEED:
- 5+ years of experience in compensation, total rewards, data or financial analysis or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Financial modeling and analyzing data and performance, particularly with Excel/Google Sheets and corporate performance management tools.

- $78,400 — $109,800 CAD
