Job Posting Title: Publishing Manager (Fixed-term contract) Req ID: 10153521 Job Description: About the Role & Team This is a fantastic opportunity to join Disney’s EMEA Publishing team as a Publishing Manager, playing an important role in supporting the delivery of the regional Publishing AOP and helping bring Disney stories and franchises to life for audiences across the region.
In this role, you will help drive revenue growth through strong day-to-day business management, identifying and delivering new business opportunities, and building effective relationships with key Regional and Global licensees. You will also act as an important connector between Franchise, Marketing, PR and local Publishing teams, helping to maximise the impact of product launches and marketing campaigns, while providing flexible Product Development support across territories when needed.
This 3-month fixed-term contract role , based in our London Hammersmith office, 4 days a week, with either a Monday or Friday working from home. These values shape how we work and how we support one another every day. What You Will Do Take ownership of delivering the EMEA Publishing AOP, helping to drive commercial performance and support the continued growth of the Publishing business across the region.
Manage day-to-day relationships with key Regional and Global licensees, providing clear support, guidance and communication to help deliver shared priorities. Support the Regional Books Senior Manager in identifying new market, audience and format opportunities, working closely with local teams to secure alignment and bring ideas to life.
Identify, share and extend best practice across EMEA markets, helping teams learn from successful approaches and unlock new opportunities. Lead quarterly Co-edition and Format Trends sessions with licensees, creating a regular space to explore insights, opportunities and emerging trends.
Gather EMEA updates and best practice examples, preparing clear communications to keep Regional and Global teams informed and connected. Partner with Global and Regional Franchise, Marketing and PR teams, as well as local market leads, to coordinate support for key Book priorities across EMEA.
Act as the Regional point of contact for Global and Regional Marketing and Brand Commercialisation teams, attending key meetings and ensuring information is gathered and shared effectively. Champion Publishing involvement in relevant franchise, marketing and PR initiatives, helping to ensure Publishing priorities are represented and supported.
Provide flexible Product Development support to individual markets, including product approvals, where additional guidance or capacity is needed. Required Qualifications & Skills Knowledge of Disney franchises, properties and brand management would be beneficial.
Previous experience in licensing, publishing, consumer products or a related commercial environment would be advantageous. Experience working in a multi-level, matrixed environment, ideally within a multinational organisation, would be helpful.
Comfortable managing competing priorities and working to deadlines in a fast-paced environment. A strong relationship builder, with the ability to develop trusted connections with internal teams and external partners. Curious and proactive, with a willingness to take initiative, try new approaches and challenge the status quo where appropriate.
Able to work independently, using sound judgement and seeking input where needed. Excellent communication and influencing skills, with confidence engaging stakeholders at different levels. Strong presentation skills, with the ability to share information clearly and confidently with a range of audiences.
Collaborative by nature, with a team-focused approach and the ability to work well across functions and markets. Results-oriented and comfortable making decisions, while balancing commercial goals with partner and team needs. Effective planning and organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple workstreams and priorities.
Motivated, supportive and able to contribute positively to a team environment. A clear understanding of licensing and category management, or a willingness to build this knowledge quickly. Able to navigate a matrix structure with strong interpersonal awareness, organisational sensitivity and respect for different perspectives.
