Job Summary Job Description DUTIES: Provide technical leadership in designing and developing new software and web applications; work on ad tech systems, covering ad-serving data indexing engines, ad selection algorithms, and audience targeting pipelines; optimize relational (MySQL, Aurora) and NoSQL (Aerospike, DynamoDB, ETCD, Neo4J, RocksDB) databases through thoughtful schema design, efficient query crafting, and cache fine-tuning; leverage profiling tools (sanitizer, perf and gprof), along with custom benchmarks and tracing, to diagnose and optimize CPU, memory, and I/O performance issues; architect and develop scalable, low-latency C++ applications on Linux, designed to handle high-throughput, high-QPS workloads; architect, implement, and optimize core services across distributed infrastructure, driving improvements in throughput, reliability, and overall system efficiency; use cloud-native tools such as Kubernetes, Docker, and Terraform, alongside key AWS services including ELB, EKS, S3, DynamoDB, and Kinesis; and work with SRE/DevOps teams to instrument systems (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, Loki stack); support applications under development and customize current applications; assist with the software update process for existing applications, and roll-outs of software releases; analyze, test, and assist with the integration of new applications; document all development activity; research, write, and edit documentation and technical requirements, including software designs, evaluation plans, test results, technical manuals, and formal recommendations and reports; monitor and evaluate competitive applications and products; review literature, patents, and current practices relevant to the solution of assigned projects; collaborate with project stakeholders to identify product and technical requirements; conduct analysis to determine integration needs; work with the Quality Assurance team to determine if applications fit specification and technical requirements; and guide and mentor junior-level engineers.

Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree, or foreign equivalent, in Computer Science, Engineering, or related technical field, and seven (7) years of experience developing software for ad tech systems, including ad-serving data indexing engines, ad selection algorithms, and audience targeting pipelines
- caching and optimizing relational databases including MySQL and Aurora, and NoSQL databases including Aerospike, DynamoDB, ETCD, Neo4J, and RocksDB
- using sanitizer, perf, and gprof profiling tools for performance tuning
- architecting and developing scalable, low-latency C++ applications on Linux
- performing end to end system design and optimization
- of which five (5) years include using cloud-native tools including Kubernetes, Docker, and Terraform, and AWS services including ELB, EKS, S3, DynamoDB, and Kinesis
- and monitoring and troubleshooting systems using Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, and Loki stack.
