Learn more at https://www.jnj.com/ J&J MedTech Vision Supply Chain is embarking on a Lean transformation to accelerate and innovate in the áreas of waste reduction, operational efficiency, and supply reliability.
This role will support leadership in driving consistent total delivered cost improvement year over year, building a best-in-class supply chain, designing improvement roadmaps, and developing Lean capabilities for the future. You will be responsible for: Provide expertise on Value Stream Mapping and Kaizen methodology, processes, and tools Implement continuous improvement initiatives using various Lean methodologies and principles (e.g., 5S, Value Stream Mapping (VSM), Single Minute Exchange of Dies (SMED), Total Productive Maintenance (TPM), Waste reduction, Kaizen, etc.) Apply a strong background in Operational Excellence, Lean Six Sigma methodologies, and Black Belt certification to drive continuous improvement, strengthen operational performance, eliminate waste, and improve productivity across production lines.
Track progress, report metrics, and provide leadership team updates Collect and/or create best-in-practice tools across internal, external, and industry sources; lead training and implementation of tools across JJV supply chain Deliver against the JJV and functional productivity, cost, inventory, capacity, and lead time annual and long-term goals Instill a culture of continuous improvement, and a mindset of challenging the status quo Adapt to a constantly evolving environment and leverage change as an opportunity to improve processes and tools Plan and deliver trainings in improvement methodologies to raise the organizational acumen Coach partners in application of Lean methodology and tools Qualifications: Education Minimum of a Bachelor’s or equivalent University Degree required; preferably in supply chain or engineering Required A minimum 4 years of progressive business experience in a regulated industry, with a strong background in supply chain Certification in industry or university Black belt certification Lean/Six Sigma/Process Excellence is required Proven experience in leading cross-functional projects and managing multiple priorities within a matrix organization.
Excellent collaboration, communication, and influencing skills with the ability to engage partners at all levels. Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills, coupled with the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights. Ability to work independently while demonstrating a high degree of initiative and leadership in a fast-paced environment.
Proficient in MS Office and project management software tools. Other: May require up to 10% domestic and/or international travel to other locations and sites Occasionally, this position will require non-traditional hours to support teams in different time zones.
