About the Function: Supply Chain & Manufacturing is where our brands are made, moved and delivered to the world. With over half of our people working across more than 100 sites, this is a complex, large-scale operation that brings together production, logistics, engineering and supplier partnerships.

About The Role
The Bundaberg Maturation Manager is responsible for leading the safe, compliant and efficient operation of Bundaberg Rum’s maturation, blending and bulk liquid preparation processes. This role ensures the right aged rum profile is available to meet production and customer demand while protecting the quality, consistency and heritage of one of Australia’s most iconic spirits brands.
Working closely with Distillation, Planning, Quality, Engineering, Packaging and Logistics, you will oversee day-to-day maturation operations, optimise inventory and liquid availability, and drive continuous improvement across safety, quality and operational performance.
Role Responsibilities: Lead the safe and compliant operation of maturation, blending and liquid handling activities, ensuring alignment with HSE, quality, food safety, excise and regulatory requirements. Manage the execution of maturation plans to deliver the right aged rum volumes and profiles to support bottling, packaging, bulk dispatch and future demand.
Protect the quality, sensory profile and consistency of Bundaberg Rum by monitoring maturation performance, liquid movements, sampling, blending readiness and inventory integrity. Coordinate blending preparation, ingredient additions, quality checks and bulk liquid dispatch to ensure products are production-ready and meet specification.
Partner with Planning, Quality, Engineering, Logistics and Site Operations to optimise tank capacity, inventory availability, asset reliability and operational performance. Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on yield, loss reduction, inventory accuracy, traceability, asset utilisation and operational efficiency.
Lead and mentor the maturation team, encouraging a strong safety culture, operational rigor and continuous improvement outlook. Experience / Skills Required: Experience in maturation, blending, distillation, brewing, fermentation, beverage alcohol, food manufacturing or other process manufacturing environments.
Strong understanding of liquid handling, process operations, quality systems and safe manufacturing practices within a regulated production environment. Demonstrated experience leading operational or shift-based teams, with the ability to deliver production plans while maintaining high standards of safety, quality and compliance.
Experience working cross-functionally with Planning, Quality, Engineering, Maintenance, Logistics and Technical teams to solve operational challenges and improve performance. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to use production, inventory and quality data to drive operational decisions and continuous improvement.
Experience with inventory management, tank or barrel operations, blending processes or digital manufacturing systems such as SAP, MES, SCADA or LIMS is highly regarded. A proactive leadership style with strong communication, stakeholder management and a passion for developing high-performing teams while protecting the integrity of a premium heritage brand.
