- Distributed Systems. Your primary focus will be designing and building software services that dramatically reduce the cost and time required to launch Amazon fulfillment centers, Whole Foods and quick commerce stores. Key job responsibilities As an SDE, you are responsible for setting a high bar throughout the software development and deployment lifecycle, including design, development, documentation, testing
- operations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in software development(both backend and frontend) in Java, Python, react, AWS technologies. He/she will work closely with the business and technical teams to analyze many non-standard and unique business problems and use creative problem solving to build quick Proofs of concept and deliver production grade software. He/she will be a self-starter, comfortable with ambiguity, able to think big and be creative while paying careful attention to detail and will enjoy working in a fast-paced and dynamic environment. A day in the life Our team follows the Agile development methodology. Team members(SDEs/PMT/TPM) participate in daily stand-ups and bi-weekly sprint planning and backlog grooming sessions. You will write code for both user-facing APIs and backend services that need to be fault-tolerant and low-latency. You will participate in design reviews, contribute to technical discussions
- collaborate with other teams within Customer Experience Infra Org on integration solutions. We conduct annual program planning and quarterly prioritization meetings to align tasks with organizational goals. Developers, Program Management (PM) team
- Single-Threaded Owners (STOs) collaborate to define and execute these tasks. Since it’s a new team, we do not have any operational load at present, but in future we will operational maintain what we deliver this year.
- 3+ years of non-internship design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience - 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience - 3+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing
- operations experience - 3+ years of designing and developing large-scale, multi-tiered, multi-threaded, embedded or distributed software applications, tools, systems
- services using: C#, C++, Java
