Job Title Professional, Software Development Engineering Role Overview: The Technical Production Control Engineer is responsible for delivering high-quality operational support for ATM device management, payment processing, and transaction monitoring services in accordance with agreed Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
The role ensures the stable and efficient operation of critical payment systems while maintaining compliance with established operational procedures and industry best practices. This position requires a proactive, detail-oriented professional who can effectively collaborate with customers, technical teams, and business stakeholders.
The successful candidate will be responsible for incident resolution, change implementation, operational monitoring, documentation management, and continuous service improvement within a complex payment processing environment
Key Responsibilities
- Provide operational support for ATM management, payment processing, and transaction monitoring platforms.
- Ensure timely investigation, troubleshooting, and resolution of incidents in accordance with SLA commitments.
- Execute production support activities in line with established operational procedures, runbooks, and management directives.
- Participate in incident, problem, and change management processes while adhering to internal governance standards.
- Create, maintain, and enhance technical documentation, operational procedures, and knowledge repositories.
- Monitor production environments and take proactive measures to identify and mitigate potential issues.
- Collaborate closely with engineering, infrastructure, application support, and project teams to ensure service stability and continuous improvement.
- Support testing, deployment, and implementation activities related to ATM and payment processing systems.
- Participate in projects and initiatives focused on operational excellence and platform enhancements.
- Contribute to on-call and out-of-hours support rotations as required.
- Required Qualifications and Skills: Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience supporting the BASE24-eps platform on HPE NonStop.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to interact effectively with customers and internal stakeholders.
- Experience working within production support environments and adhering to documented operational procedures and runbooks.
- Practical experience with BASE24-eps and XPNet technologies.
- Working knowledge of HPE NonStop systems and/or Unix (AIX) environments.
- Proven troubleshooting and problem-solving skills across both production and test environments.
- Ability to identify, document, track, and coordinate the resolution of technical defects and operational issues.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools, including Excel, Word, Outlook, Teams, and Power BI.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Willingness to participate in a 24x7 on-call and out-of-hours support model.
- Preferred Qualifications Demonstrates a consistently positive, professional, and customer-focused approach.
- Good understanding of networking and telecommunications technologies, including: TCP/IP, VPN, MPLS Experience within the payments industry, particularly in: Card acquiring, Card issuing, ATM transaction processing Knowledge of payment processing architectures and transaction flow lifecycles.
