Job Description
We're looking for a Senior HRBP Specialist - 16 Month Contract to play a key role in shaping talent strategies and delivering impactful HR programs that support both associates and strategic objectives. In this role, you'll partner closely with HR Business Partners, Centres of Excellence, and business leaders to drive talent development, workforce planning, labour relations, and organizational efficiency initiatives.

What You’ll Do
- Supports HRBPs and business leaders in delivering the full talent lifecycle—including workforce planning, succession, performance
- development—tailored to business needs Advises people leaders on short-term talent needs and recommend strategies that connect talent development with strategic objectives.
- Delivers labour relations support including trend analysis for negotiations, coordination of vote logistics, implementation of CBA changes, facilitation of Labour Management Meetings
- supports CBA job posting processes.
- Researches, analyzes, and prepares workforce data from HR COEs, Shared Services, and external sources
- produces dashboards and reports (e.g., for quarterly business reviews and CBA requirements) and collaborate with HRBPs to derive insights.
- Assesses workforce planning, labour relations, and talent development challenges; provides innovative, strategic solutions that drive adoption of HR programs and deliver measurable results.
- Coordinates and facilitates training for new people leaders on talent review processes and Associate Relations guidelines.
- About You: Minimum five (5) years progressive HR Generalist or Associate Relations/Labour Relations experience, preferably within retail and/or distribution/warehouse environment (i.e.
- Distribution Centre).
- Strong interpersonal skills with ability to influence business partners to help prioritize activities and resources to meet the organization needs, build rapport and credibility to be a trusted advisor, including strong interviewing, negotiating, listening
- information gathering skills.
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills to provide solutions
- ability to demonstrate prior experience and adapt quickly to the changing work environment to make effective decisions, revise strategies to support the vision of the department.
- Good people management skills including coaching, providing advice and guidance to team members to resolve problems; discuss and share procedures.
- Solid sense of confidentiality; requires discretion and thorough knowledge of the organization’s operations, procedures and policies.
