  • scalability objectives. This role manages analysts and associate analysts and owns execution across item audit, categorization accuracy, merchandise hierarchy assignment, content quality, item-blocking controls, paused list maintenance, seller outreach

  • usable for downstream reporting and customer experiences. II. Roles & Responsibilities: Core Responsibilities:
  • Lead daily planning, queue allocation, execution review
  • governance for catalog audit workflows, including pre-live item audit, live item audit, catalog optimization, merchandise hierarchy reassignment

  • Ensure item content meets Lowe's data quality standards across correct LLC/category placement, required and recommended attributes, images, brand and seller rules, MP block policies, and Trust & Safety guardrails.
  • Validate product placement within Lowe's taxonomy and merchandise hierarchy to improve customer navigation, search performance, digital shelf readiness, and financial/reporting accuracy.
  • Maintain SOPs, category definition references, catalog repositories, issue logs, audit trackers, and RCA documentation to support consistent execution and knowledge continuity.
  • Monitor catalog KPIs such as daily go-live rate, LLC accuracy, audit accuracy, data quality score, product availability, item suppression, seller defects, escalation volume, turnaround time, and time-to-resolution.
  • Analyze large catalog datasets using SQL, Python, Excel, and reporting tools to detect defects, repeat offenders, false positives, risk patterns, policy gaps, and process improvement opportunities.
  • Support automation and machine learning initiatives by preparing input data, reviewing model outputs, defining business rules, identifying false positives/false negatives
  • recommending workflow automation opportunities.
  • Partner with product and engineering teams on catalog technology requirements, validation rules, data pipeline issues, APIs/feeds, item go-live controls, and scalable defect prevention mechanisms.
  • Manage catalog-related queries, seller outreach, stakeholder escalations, and cross-functional follow-ups with clear business impact, ownership, timelines, and next steps.
  • Support Trust & Safety operations by identifying prohibited, restricted, recalled, unsafe, duplicate, misleading
  • policy-sensitive items and coordinating decisions with legal/compliance, merchandising, marketplace, product
  • Prepare recurring performance reporting, deep dives, RCA readouts, and leadership updates such as WBR inputs, converting technical catalog issues into business impact and actionable recommendations.
  • Coach analysts and associate analysts, set goals, review output quality, build operating rhythms, manage capacity, and drive accountability across assigned processes. III. Years of Experience:
  • Minimum 6+ years of relevant experience in online/retail merchandising, digital marketplace operations, catalog management, taxonomy, data quality, analytics, business operations, or related functions.
  • Minimum 1+ year of experience leading people, managing workstreams
  • driving operational governance across analysts or cross-functional teams is preferred. IV. Education Qualification & Certifications Required Minimum Qualifications:
  • Certification or demonstrated experience in data analytics, SQL, Python, process improvement, product data management, taxonomy, retail merchandising, or BI/visualization tools is preferred. Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in digital catalog management, marketplace operations, category merchandising, taxonomy operations, or item data governance.
  • Strong understanding of product categorization, category trees, attribute schemas, merchandise hierarchy mapping, item setup, and data quality guidelines.
  • Ability to lead day-to-day operations, allocate work, review output quality, manage SLAs, and drive accountability across analysts and associate analysts.
  • Hands-on experience with Excel and data/reporting tools; working knowledge of SQL for extracting, validating, and analyzing large operational datasets.
  • Ability to identify catalog defects, perform root cause analysis, develop preventive controls, and translate data insights into operational actions.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to work with US-based stakeholders, sellers, product teams, engineering teams, merchandising teams, and compliance partners.
  • Experience maintaining SOPs, trackers, documentation, business rules, and process controls for repeatable catalog operations.
  • Strong problem-solving, prioritization, stakeholder management, conflict management, and time management skills. Secondary Skills (desired)
  • Experience with third-party marketplace or catalog platforms such as DSCO, Rithum, Mirakl, or similar systems.
  • Experience with BI and analytics platforms such as Power BI, Tableau, Superset, Adobe Analytics, Salesforce dashboards, or similar tools.
  • Working knowledge of Python, Excel macros, BI scripts, or other automation approaches for reducing manual catalog tasks.
  • Familiarity with GCP/BigQuery, data pipelines, etc.
  • Exposure to machine learning or NLP use cases for item audit automation, title/content defect detection, policy-sensitive item detection, or workflow prioritization.
  • Retail corporate experience, account management, consulting, client service, or marketplace seller communication experience.
  • Exposure to Trust & Safety, legal/compliance processes, restricted/prohibited item policies
